Fantastic!
I've had mine for 7 months now. I've seen some other reviews saying the lid doesn't fit well - mine fits perfectly. Great nonstick surface, and I love the 14" diameter. I use it as a frying pan/skillet/wok, saute pan, and it's deep enough to use as a regular pot. It's my single most-favorite thing to cook with, and that's compared to a good bit of Le Creuset and All-Clad stuff. Lid on or off, it's great for frying mushrooms, browning ground beef, sausage, turkey, etc. Even with lid off, the sides are high enough to contain most splatter. 7 quart capacity means you can really load this beast up. I'm sad to see it's not in stock today - was going to order another one.

Huge versatile pan.
This is my first sauteuse pan. I wanted something large and versatile, and looks nice on the table as a serving dish.Bottom was perfectly flat. At 7 quarts, its large enough to easily hold a pound of pasta to cook in the sauce before serving. 2 pounds would fit too, and still have room for tossing.I have a Cook's illustrated macaroni and cheese recipe I cook in a 13 by 9 lasagna pan. The sauteuse pan is 20 percent larger than my lasagna pan... that's not too much larger, so I'm going to try macaroni and cheese in this non-stick pan the next time. Should make for easy cleanup.I do like using it for omelettes. I have a 12-inch nonstick skillet with the surface area of about 9 in. With this sauteuse pan, there is a little more flexibility in getting the right kind of omelette. Sometimes it's nice, for omelets, to have the extra real estate in a pan. the drawback is that it's not as easy to get The omelette out of this pan compared to a skillet.I have not tried it for pancakes yet. But there's a large surface area... Comparable to a 14 x 10 griddle.Because it has a very large surface area compared to a skillet, this pan is ideal for pan-frying food in large batches... like crab cakes, breaded chicken cutlets, etc.I definitely would recommend this pan.

This is a perfect pan for my paella
This is a perfect pan for my paella, frying chicken, making roasts etc. The pan was available in a local high end store but you can't beat Amazon's price! Keep the temperature no higher than 450ºF per instructions. I bought this along with the 12 inch sauté pan and the 8.5 quart Dutch Oven. I cook from scratch daily so these were must haves. The quality is outstanding and I do love the contemporary design. This Calphalon series does a great job on browning and sautéing. Use silicon cooking utensils and a softer plastic sponge pad and cool down the pans before cleaning. Although these pans are dishwasher safe, I tend to hand wash them because the cleanup is so fast and easy.

It has a lid....yay!!
I was thrilled to finally find a larger pot, that avtually comes with a lid that fits it properly. I love how evenly the heat is distributed throughout making cooking easy and the dish you are making turns out lovely. Very easy to clean and take care of. However the only issue is that when you wash the lid....water gets in the rim, and takes time to dry out, because there is no way of removing the edge to dry it.Overall fabulous item and I would definitely buy again.

GIGANTIC and perfect for large meals!
This was even bigger than my very large chicken fryer which I got this to replace. Had trouble getting into my dishwasher so I had to lay it on the top rack. First meal I made was a chicken and pasta dish with lots of veggies and was so glad to have the large size. This is REALLY going to be perfect when I do cabbage because you know how bulky it starts out as. I needed the short handles because of several personal issues such as, fat bellied, cooking from a disability chair, chair bumping long handles, sleeves catching long handles because I'm reaching forward from a sitting position etc. So it's safer for me to have short handles. Yes the handles get hot, but for my safety, I needed short handles. I just use a small pot holder. LOVE THIS PAN!!!

Good pan for the money...
For the money, this is a pretty good pan. Don't do what I did though and try and braise with it.. Mine went slightly out of flat after braising some chicken tenders. This surprised me because I had used it several times before with no ill effects. Possibly through my own error I let it get too hot. I had also used it in the oven the previous evening, but only at 350. Just a warning that it can happen. Still, but most normal applications you should be okay. Lid sits very well and the non-stick seems very durable. Recommend. BTW... it is not 4 pounds... 6.5 is more like it.

Love/Hate relationship
I bought this lab to replace another 7qt sauteuse pan I had for years. This is definitely an upgrade, however, there are pros & cons.Pros:-Size is great! We are a family of 6 so this pan gets used quite often-pan is thick and heats evenly-tight fitting lid is great-easy to clean and definitely a great non-stick-handles are sturdy & pan is made well overallCons:-nonstick coating scratches more easily than other nonsticks. We’ve had the pan for about 6 months and there are many scratches on the nonstick surface. Granted, we use it often, however, we have other non-sticks that we have had longer with no scratches at all-handles get really hot and you need to use oven mitt to hold and sautéOverall, I like this pan, but there are some things I really don’t like. For the price, I expected it to last longer but now I am looking to replace it just 6 months in because of the nonstick surface. If you don’t use often, it may the answer for you. For an avid cook and large family, I am looking for alternatives to replace it.

Awesome pan!!!!
This the best piece of cookware ever! Heats evenly, nothing sticks to the inside and it's easy to clean. We were able to put a half package of bacon slices in at once and they came out evenly cooked and crispy. It is definitely worth the price. Looking forward to using this pan for everything.

My favourite pan in the house
This is an all around great pan for so many things. Makes killer sauces, is large enough to braise chicken or other meats, and can cook up food for a large family.

Excellent Purchase
We are very happy with the pan. It is definitely not the cheapest one on the market, but it well worth the price. Great quality and value!
