My 2 dogs don’t mind eating this. I have a German shepherd and a Maltese and they seem healthy and their coats look shiny. Priced just right and easy to feed. My dogs did not get any diarrhea but maybe because I mix it with food. This is suppose to help with itching and it appears to be doing that.

I will rate the larger size next time I purchase this because the price for this is not good but both my dogs (a terrier-Maltese & Shih Tzu) gobble it up. I would give it 5 stars for flavor but because of the price and one of my dogs is showing signs of allergies now, I can't do that.However, since they started eating it, the Maltese (6-mo old puppy) has started itching more so I'm not certain it is helping with that. I don't want to be discouraging though, & there is no surface rash or damage from scratching, so I'll keep trying until I've proved it to be the cause or not.Also, my Shih Tzu is over 14-yo, & moving to TN has caused him to start itching, leading to fungal infections. I've finally started winning that battle & I'm hoping that Olewo dried beets may be the final thing that's helping him, so that would raise the points again.If I could change my rating as time went on, I would, but history has taught me otherwise. It's worth the trial but I would suggest to Olewo to offer a sample size that isn't so expensive for people like me. Most of us wouldn't pay that much to try something like this; a smaller bag for half the price or even less would be a lot easier to try.

My dogs love this food topper! And I feel good about giving them beets which they like raw from the garden.

I gave this beet product 3 stars because I believe it to be a good product, but didn't work for my dog, so I wanted to post to anyone who has a dog with candida yeast issues. The product arrived in good condition & with a good best by date. It also smelled really good so I gave my dog a half dose in his evening meal, which he ate with no problem. Shortly after he started itching more, was more restless & breathing very fast for several hours. His breathing was better morning but his skin visibly redder in the problem area. He's a rescue & has food sensitivities due to over-vaccination. He has chronic Candida Yeast which clears & then flares up again. He's on a strict home prepared & limited ingredient kibble which has never been recalled, so I have to assume the reaction was to the beets. I hesitated ordering because I know beets have a natural sugar but he's also prone to constipation & anal gland issues which I use pumpkin for & that also can cause itching; so I hoped the beets might be a better option. I'm always trying to find the best balance of food & supplements for him. Beets are good for so many things in people & animals. I debated ordering a long time, but just wanted to give them a try. One dose & his symptoms were a lot worse, so I can only assume it was due to the beets, which is such a shame. I had such high hopes for this all-natural supplement with so many good nutrients in it. Also, my dog is 10 so if you have a younger dog with just a simple itchy coat from time to time, this would probably be great for your dog, but if you too have been dealing with the telltale black/red skin of a yeast infection, be warned this might not be the product for you.

I just started using this product and mixing a 1/2 tablespoon in with my dog's wet food. She started to have allergy issues and I thought this would help. While it's too early to tell, I have confidence that it will be helpful, as this item is made in Germany, which is noted for their health-type products for humans as well as animals.

One of my dogs has had terrible allergies. I was looking for a more holistic solution than for the vet to keep prescribing her medication. It’s only been a week but I’ve noticed my dog has not been scratching her eye as much! Not only that, I mix it in both of my dogs food and they love it!!!!
