A long time ago, I read that taking Ruin helps to protect the veins and capillaries by strengthening them. I'm not sure if that's true or not. But I know that when I don't take my Rutin, I am more likely to have capillaries burst in my hands when I try to open something that's incredibly tight. These work well to prevent that.

Might not be what people want to know, but our cat started filling with Chylous fluid a condition called Chylothorax. It wasn't known why, but suspected to be a tumor by the live/pancreas. There is research that Rutin helps with the condition when the cause is unknown in cats (google about it). Because they could see a tumor...we were advised to wait for the visit to oncologist vet before doing anything other than bring her in to be drained. The oncologist was completely useless as a lot of money for tests to be told they don't know what type of cancer and only way to tell would be a surgery that would likely kill her. Exasperated, I started mixing about 100mg of Rutin from these capsules--about 300mg per day in her food (5-6pound cat). The amount of fluid started decreasing and it's now been 2 weeks since we had to have her drained. The last visit there was no noticeable extra fluid on the scan and what was there a week ago was gone. I'm continuing to sprinkle this on her food (about 50mg like putting pepper on eggs). I can't confirm something else didn't change but based on research studies, I think there is a high correlation and I wish I would have started this as soon as the first vet visit. All the research studies assume if cancer-related then some treatment plan will be formulated. In our case the recommendation was "comfort care" so we know every day is precious. But at least she is more comfortable not filling with fluid and needing to go to the vet every 3-5 days to be drained on top of everything else. I'm not a vet; just sharing our experience as an input for others as in our case, even with a known tumor, rutin appeared to be as effective in stopping the Chyle from filling her abdominal cavity as the studies in which no tumor can be found. I've now read so much about rutin and have started taking this as well.

Update: This was our 2nd order, each glass bottle was wrapped in bubble wrap, then all wrapped bottles were put in a soft envelope. (the 1st order was sent with glass bottles(in 'shrink wrap') put loose into a large box.) Seems to work so far for our 72 lb dog with chylous effusion.
