Good but not for long
Started good. Thought it was amazing for the first year. Suddenly started to make very weak, watery coffee even at max strength settings. Contacted Jura who said we can send it in but the repair would almost be half the price of a new one. The warranty will only be honored if cleanings were done on the exact times the machine asked for it. A bit of a get out of jail clause for them. Water filters also quite expensive and reed to be replaced regularly even though we use a water softener.

The best coffee machine ever!
The best coffee machine ever. After usage of the other make for over 8 years, I can tell that the coffee machine is amazing and the coffee quality is amazing too!!!

Overpriced and fiddly to use.
Though I don't own one myself my mother recently bought one and I helped her to use it. It produces beautiful coffee but so it should for nearly a grand. The big issue is when you have used the milk nozzle you're meant to dismantle it and rinse it every time and this is a real pain, especially when the manual provides no assistance in how to do this. My mum managed to break this the second time she tried to do it alone. Also for a machine costing nearly a grand it only has a standard 2 year warranty which means if it packs in after two years its basically cost you £10 a week even before coffee is factored in, save your money for a De'Longhi as there isn't really a great difference in coffee quality.

Lowest priced coffee make with every perceivable extra.
The E8 is probably the best electronic gadget I have ever purchased.Without exception everyone that has a coffee state it’s the best coffee they have ever tasted. The ability to have your favourite coffee programmed via your iphone is also something I haven’t seen on any other model.

One touch great Coffee
We decided to purchase a bean to cup coffee machine to replace our Dolce Gusto capsule machine, the amount of coffee pods going into the bin was starting to make us feel very guilty, save a Polar Bear and all that. After doing a lot of research on what we wanted from a machine, basically place a cup and press a button, we are pretty lazy, we decided on the Jura E8 in Piano Black (this option is very much cheaper for the exact same machine, just cosmetically different) The E8 is the same chassis as the S8 only with no touch screen, which we have read can be problematic, and was quickly set up. We opted for the milk cooler unit, again because we are lazy, filled the machine with our first ever purchase of beans and were ready to go! Coffee only beverages are dispensed from the two central nozzles and come out piping hot, and taste great. The Milk themed beverages are served from the far right had nozzle. Simply place a cup select a Cappuccino for example and wait while the machine goes to work. Great Cappuccinos, Lattes etc at the touch of a button. Some people have raised the question on the milk based drinks temperature, and to be honest its not piping hot but a quick fix is to select Hot water from the menu and dispense to warm the cup first. This seems to make quite a difference. The machine does a small maintenance routine prior use and runs a quick milk nozzle clean a short time after serving a milk based drink. It's not a lot of water and you can just let it pour into the large drip tray. The milk tube just gets run under a tap at the end of the day. Still early days for us on a full clean of the system but will update once we have done one. To sum up after living with the E8 for a week: One touch great tasting coffees. Very simple to use. No more plastic capsule waste. The optional milk cooler works well. Good build quality Milk based beverages could be a little hotter
