GRANDMA SAYS YES YES YES TO THE FRONT, NO NO NO TO THE MY BACKSIDE..
I came across this dress looking for something else and noticed how fabulous the Reviews are. Being a grandmother I was very hesitant because eventhough I've been eating better and exercising, I'm not even close to wearing something fitted like this.I'm 5'10 180pounds 38DD, recently down to a 12-14 and thanks to other Reviews I ordered the Large. If you want this dress to just fit the body you already have, order your size. If you want it fitted and to HOLD you in, go down a size. The pics were taken as soon as I ripped opened the bag, no shapewear or shoes.Well I started taking pics ( I dont have a full length mirror) and I was like "HELLO old body," I haven't seen you for awhile, UNTIL I turned around and saw the back. Ugh!But The Dress is Awesome, The lines are Brillant and they SMOOTH out ALL THE ISSUES.. It's not see thru, I'm actually in a white bra in the photos but you really can't tell. I just need something to help in the back, padded underwear, control pantyhose or a crane might help me.I WOULD SUGGEST TO ANYONE THAT'S ON THE FENCE TO JUST ORDER THIS DRESS, you could be so surprised. It really holds you in and the ruching gives you room to play around with the length. It does WONDERS for the middle section and really helps give an hourglass figure.Another reviewer said to turn it around and wear it backwards, which I will try (can't hurt).Personally I'm going to order other colors and I can't wait to have a place to wear them (maybe a Xmas party at this rate) but I'm going to try and do 50 squats a day until then.Good Luck, I hope this helps someone get off the fence.

Forgiving body-con
I owned this dress years ago in burgundy when I was smaller, and I loved it so much that I bought it again! I gained a lot of weight, current size is 5'7" 186 lbs, pear shaped, size 15 or XL on bottom, size 38B or L on top. I bought the coffee color in size XL and it's perfect. I get so many compliments on the texture. It is professional enough for work and sexy enough for cocktails. It is fitted but very stretchy and somehow it doesn't ride up at all when walking. I do pull it up a little to get it above the knee when I first put it on, then it stays in place all day. I imagine it would look more cheap or see-through with certain colors, but the two colors I tried are dark enough. I will probably buy it in navy too!

I wear it backwards
It's very sheer if stretched, but it doesn't fit me too tightly so I'm not too worried about it. The scoop in the back is very low/wide and showed bra straps in a way I don't like, but I cut the tag off and it works great backwards.

Fits beautifully
Considering I am 5'1 the length is 3asy to adjust with the ruching and its very concealing if you have a tummy

You really gotta stretch this into place to fit you correctly
Good for the price. The quality of material leaves something to be desired. It's HIGHLY stretchy which means it has no shape of its own; you provide all of the structure. You will definitely need shapewear to pull this dress off. The side seams do not naturally line up vertically. You have to be sure to spin the dress around every which way until you can get both side seams completely vertical. Not sure if those seams will stay put all day. The sleeves also sit a tad awkwardly. You kind of have to stretch them into place to sit appropriately over each shoulder. I also fear my bra straps will peak out from the back. Not the top of the shoulder, but around my shoulder blades due to the wide back.I'm a fan of the textured, almost ruched fabric. It makes an otherwise boring dress interesting. The boat neck is flattering and the low back is still high enough to hide my bra. This dress accentuates my hips but minimizes my breasts. I think it's something to do with the pattern; it's not due to the fabric compressing my chest. Remember, the dress is SUPER stretchy. Eh I don't have much boob anyway.I'll be keeping it but I feel like you get what you pay for. It looks and feels lower quality to me. But I suspect others won't be able to tell as easily.I'm 5'5ish; 115-120lbs; 27" wasit; 36-37" hips

Versatile dress but beware of the dye!
I'm 5'2", 122 lbs, and ordered the medium in black. Very easy to wear and very forgiving. I found that I could either wear the dress as is, down to my knee, or fold it up around my hips if I wanted it shorter. Either way the cut and fabric had a very slimming effect. Also, I could switch the front and the back, depending on whether I wanted a deep neckline or not, so it's rather versatile! Took off one star because the cap sleeves do not lay flat on the shoulders; they seem to be too large or too floppy, so I solved that by pulling them up over my shoulder and pinning them, making the dress sleeveless instead or cap-sleeved. Be aware: the care instructions say "Wash separately. Dry clean recommended." I handwashed the dress and a lot of dye ran off, so do not wash or dry near anything that may get stained. Overall, great dress for the value.UPDATE after wearing it a second time: I wore the already handwashed dress a second time to a family event. At the end of the evening, I found my freshly manicured gel french nails all stained black (see photo). Tried alcohol and nail polish remover, and could not remove the stains. I now have to go to the salon and have the gel manicure removed before it's time. What a waste of money! Sure, it has a flattering fit, but beware of where you sit, what you touch, and what color manicure you have on! I'm not sure I can risk wearing this dress again, since it could be embarrassing if it stains other people's clothes, furniture, or linens!! Downrated from 4 stars to 2.
