Q: How long does it last to work for one time batteries insertion?

My son has had his running since Xmas 2017. We have changed the batteries 1 time in that 8 month period. I expect it to run out any day now.... in other words they last 3-4 months likely.

Q: When did this product hit the market?

Not sure, I first saw it on a YouTube channel in February of 2020

Q: is there an On Off switch or button?

You can stop the product two ways: 1) bring the swinging sticks to a complete stop 2) remove the batteries on the underside. Make sure when you are re-inserting the batteries (or putting them in for the first time) that you securely insert them into the compartment and rotate them to make sure the connection is good.

Q: the long stick occasionally rubs the base, is it by design?

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us. What I believe you are experiencing isn’t the long stick rubbing the base but the magnet in the base engaging with the long stick. The design is that the magnet and the long stick work together to propel the sticks to swing. The magnet needs the batteries to charge it. When the magnet engages with the long stick, their can be a slight swish noise. It doesn’t engage with the long stick every time it comes around, but when it does there can be an ever so slight swishing noise which may be thought to be a rubbing sound. If this is not your issue, please reach out to Amazon or the merchant who sold you the product (I am one such merchant).
