The fact that I am 46 years old, and been using this particular pen , since I was 12 years old , speaks volume!!!! Many stores no longer carry them, but I’ve always found ways to hunt this pen down.

First pen took a lot of scribbling to work. Lasted about 2 minutes and stopped. After scribbling and ripping paper trying to restart it over and over again I went to the nezt one... Same issue with 2nd and third. All I want is a fine tip ball point pen that works when I need it. They just don't make them like they used to.

I used to only be able find these at my local college bookstore who also has now stopped selling them. I was so happy to find them on Amazon - didn't have to buy more than I needed and at a great price.

I love gel pens, don't get me wrong, but sometimes you just need a great ball-point pen! The Better Ballpoint pen by Pilot has been my favorite ballpoint pen for over 20 years. And I'm very very picky about my pens. Works great with moleskines without bleed-through, in tight spaces where you want fine control over your writing, and in certain types of very-thin-papered books. Also, a great pen for writing tiny notes in the empty spaces in books, or if you need to mark up a galley/proof copy of a book -- the red Better Ballpoint Pen is peerless! Writes easily and smoothly without pressing hard, doesn't skip, comes in many colors, comes in an incredibly thin extra-fine... I can't say enough good things about this pen! I'm so glad I can still get it.

I like these pens; they write smoothly. A comfort grip would be nice. I add a pencil grip to them so they are more comfortable to hold. Will buy again.

My absolute favorite for everyday writing. Clean neat ink, and very fine! I love fine!! Might be a non glamorous pen, but very effective. No blotting so far. Have used my first batch for a few years and didn't think I'd be able to get them again.PS: if you don't like slim pens don't order.

Love these pens! They are thin so that writing is neat and simple. I love how basic they are but their thin, fine writing tip makes them different from other classic ballpoint pens.
