Got the 42". Real low profile helped open up room vs. previous fan. Besides the outstanding looks, the install was very easy - one of the quickest I ever completed. The quality is excellent and everything fit together tight and square. Operation from remote works as expected. Noise = none. A little $$$, but you get what you pay for. I will be buying more.

Nice fan. The motor really is silent, the only noise it makes is a bit of wind noise from the blades at higher speeds. I like the solid wood blades, these are nicer looking that the fake wood patterns on some cheaper fans. Installation was pretty easy, much better than the last Hunter brand fan I installed. I was a bit worried whether Amazon would package and ship this item with sufficient protection. However it was nicely packed by the manufacturer and arrived in perfect condition. My only complaint is that I wish the light dimmed a bit further. Sometimes even the lowest setting it is brighter than I want. Nevertheless, I'm happy with the fan and bought a second matching one for another room in my house.

Overall this is a really nice looking fan even if the blades were in no way resembling walnut. We installed following the instructions but could never get either remote to pair correctly with the fan. After 3 power resets and an angry hubby going up and down the stairs 3 times he just started pushing buttons and finally got the light to come on and then the fan to move. But it never "whirred" properly or smoothly it just choppily moved and then eventually both light and blades stopped moving again. We wanted nothing to do with troubleshooting this after reading other reviews of remotes not working....so we returned it and the search continues.

The actual fan is really beautiful and as pictured. The design is sleek and hugs the ceiling. It's perfect for our 9' ceilings in our bedroom. The install directions were slightly lacking making the install harder than it should have been. There is a wall control and remote control. You are advised to replace existing switches with the wall control. Turning the light on with the wall control isn't as easy as a light switch while you're standing in the dark. (The light button is small.) The remote control works, but you have to press a few times for it wake up. It also is nearly impossible to change the light brightness with the remote as it cycles too quickly. Note the LED light, at its brightest, is WAY too bright if you're looking in that direction. I've kept it dimmed so it's not so glaring. The light also only shines straight down. If you need a lot of good quality light from this fan, it isn't the best choice. Since we have can lights in the same room, this fan will suffice. When operating, the fan on the lowest three settings is incredibly quiet. I can barely hear it on setting three. On the higher settings, there is a small noise but relatively quiet, for a fan. The amount of airflow is definitely great for our room, which is about 17' x 20' x 9'H. If I had realized the improvement in air flow and noise reduction from this fan (compared to our previous one,) I would have replaced years ago!

Not only is this fan built for longevity but it’s sleek and modern looking as well! Install was very easy (we own two already) and the noise level is non-existent. The light also adds brightness to any room and the wall mounted control is wireless (operates on battery), so you can install it anywhere, if you prefer. I would highly recommend this fan to anyone. The only slight downside is the price but it’s worth it if you’re looking for the unicorn of fans.

Update 3/7/18: I left a message and the company called me back promptly the next day. Diagnosis of faulty remote requires removal of entire fixture, requiring electrician. I shared the concern of needing to pay electrician three times (original install, diagnostics, replacement install) and to just send me replacement so electrician's diagnostic visit isn't wasted. Technician told me he was going to email me with next steps for replacement but never did. I'm returning the fan via Amazon. It was a beauty though if yours works! Original review 3/4/18: The fan is beautiful! However, as one of the Q/A stated, the remote works sporadically and the provided wall switch only supplies power (but the fan/light controls don't work at all). I've left message with customer service... Will update this review based on their response time. Just expected better from a fan in this price range.

This fan is gorgeous. It has understated elegance without losing its casual vibe & looks amazing in our bedroom. A quality build. This fan also packs a punch and we can sleep comfortably even in the dog days of summer. Most importantly, the fan is super quiet and puts out a lot of light. I hemmed and hawed over this purchase because it’s definitely an investment. But if it’s at all a consideration for your budget, don’t hesitate.

I did a lot of research before I bought this fan, and this is the only one that checked all the boxes for me: 1) Energy efficient and quiet DC motor, 2) flush mount hugger profile, 3) attractive modern design with real wood, not plastic, 4) unobtrusive LED light in soft white. Yes, it's kind of expensive, but it's worth it. It moves a lot of air, and it's gorgeous. Everyone who comes into the house notices it and compliments it. It was very easy to install without an electrician. I purchased the 60" for my living room and the 52" for my bedroom.
