Nikon CL-M2 Semi-Soft Lens Case

When I got this Nikon CL - M2 case. It came in a black box with the word Nikon on it with yellow stripes.I had bought a second hand Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR ( mark I) it came with no case or box. So I had to order one.When it arrived, I unboxed the CL-M2 case and put my Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR lens in the case it fit well and decided to keep the box with clear plastic cover to use to put the lens in and then to put in the case and put it in the box.So the CL-M2 case is good to use with the lens knowing it is safe and no dust.!!!!

Very pleased. I got it used from Amazon and gave it to my husband for Christmas. He didn't have a clue that it was used. Even after telling him it was used, he couldn't find a thing wrong with it. Love Amazon.

I bought this case to interchange between my NIKKOR 16-85 and my Nikkor 70-300 lens. It is a sturdy case, not one that collapses if squeezed, giving me the assurance it will absorb impact. The padding is sufficient the straps are excellent, I have not tried the belt loop yet. It protects well from the weather If I have a gripe, it is longer than expected. I assume it is made to hold my larger lens with the lens hood on extended. I really don't like doing that so I remove it and put it on in its retracted position. However this makes the case long for it. Needless to say it is much longer for my shorter lens. I would have liked a velcro wall that could be placed at the end of the lens to prevent movement, irrespective of the size. I may make my own divider. Otherwise an excellent case, but pricy compared to others.
