Derek Alexander NS Top Zip, Black, One Size

Brown isn't the best color (how about gray?), but the bright green interior is my favorite feature! I can actually find things easily. (I wish bag manufacturers would stop using black linings. Groan!) This bag is a perfect balance of accessibility and function: a zip pocket for keys, a front flap pocket for phone and sunglasses, a back zip for travel tissues, and a main compartment for everything else. Too many organizer features can be counter-productive. This one's simple and useful.

I've owned the Derek Alexander EW Top Zip Crossbody w/Flap for years and I've used it heavily. But it was slightly larger than a good every day bag should be. So, when I saw this bag, I was delighted! It is exactly like the other, only smaller (and minus a few pockets).This bag in burgundy is a nice every day bag in a natural hue that goes with everything, except hot pink;^pThere is plenty of space and it's organized; a pocket for everything. The magnetic flap front pocket is a great slip pocket for your credit cards, reading glasses, phone, Chapstick and hand sanitizer. The zip pocket just above is a great place for cash. There is a rear zippered pocket great for misc, quick stowing of items like receipts or notes, etc.. The main compartment has two slip pockets, as you would expect, for sunglasses, etc and it also has a discrete inside zip pocket along with a key chain holder. It has a lot of space. I can fit a small sweater or even my iPad 2 in a clunky case (albeit just barely)!Judging the fabric, based on my previous experience with the other bag, it is sturdy and lasts without staining. It also repels water, which is great when you find yourself running through rain often.If I had a complaint, it would only be that this bag could use a "woman's touch". That's not a complaint, really. I just replaced the zipper pulls with charms and voila! A bag with personality:)

This is a perfect bag for IPads. We carried two IPads and a cell phone and still had room. Love it.
