Kate Spade New York Cedar Street Small Elissa Satchel Bag

Got this for work because I wanted a bag big enough to carry some documents home but not so big I would be tempted to carry around my whole life. Ended up being slightly too small for me for what I wanted to carry and the straps felt short, but the color is beautiful and I love the shape so I ended up getting the regular-sized Elissa.

Was looking for a surprise spring handbag for my GF. Delivery and bag were great!

I have often wondered why spend so much for a purse when a paper bag can do the same for so much less expense. This handbag goes far toward answering that question. The leather is rich and allows for quick, light cleaning. It holds its shape beautifully. I bought the black and cream which is classic and sophisticated.It holds my iPad Air 2 in one zippered compartment, in its case. The other zippered compartment holds my wallet, with extra room. The open compartment in the center holds my reading glasses and 2 pairs of sunglasses plus room for a decent sized cosmetics purse, keys, cigs, and miscellaneous. The center cavity also has a zippered pocket and two open pouches. One of those pouches holds my decent sized phone neatly, the other holds two pens and a thin, small paper pad. The zippered pocket carries a pencil case with a few art supplies (a pencil, a brush, and 3 iPad styluses in various styles). It's amazing how much this bag holds- I'm surprised that some reviewers find it too small for their needs, but a chacun a son gout.The handles are *just* long enough for me to slip it over my shoulder one-handed, mind, not without my elbow scraping across the top. But I like the way it carries just under my arm, well-protected. And never underestimate the graceful sexiness of sliding your handbag smoothly over your shoulder with your other hand with just the right amount of confidence as you stand to leave the room.I've been in the market for a grown-up, elegant handbag for awhile and I've found it in this very classy, understated piece of handled leather. I highly recommend it. It seems very well made and easy to care for.
