Amazing strap!
It's only been a few days but I can tell you, after using a bunch of other straps, this thing is incredible. The leather is crazy soft, the wide size disperses the weight (heavy Les Paul) and it is super adjustable. I am not writing this to get some kickbacks or whatever others get. I just think this strap is awesome! I have a bad shoulder and this thing does not aggravate it at all. Mine is the dark brown. BUY IT!! Or dont, and be uncomfortable. Your choice

Hugs better than grandma.
The most comfortable strap I've ever owned. I don't write many reviews, but I want to help other guitarists - buy. It's a little wider than I'm used to... but it's like stepping out of your high heels and into some nice house slippers. It hugs you instead of creating a pressure point on the shoulder. No nylon/foam feel. So comfortable you'll lose the Dimebag angst and start playing Jim Croce.

My guitar hugs me back now!!
I received this (well, I did pick it out myself) as a Christmas gift from my husband. I had a beautiful leather strap for my guitar before that is customized and I love it but the edges were a little hard on my shoulders. So a friend of mine had one like this and I tried it on and loved it. It is so easy to adjust to size. It stays on my guitar very well which makes me feel confident and at ease using it. The comfort is amazing! The wideness of the strap and the padding make it so soft. I can play for hours without my shoulders hurting now. I also love the smell of the strap :) And it is so pretty . It comes in different colors so I was able to match it to my guitar's colors and it really looks nice and is so serviceable. I will more than likely always buy this strap again if I have a need to. However, it appears so well made that I do not think I will have to buy another one for many, many years. It feels like now my guitar is hugging me back when I hug my guitar to play!

Levy's--good enough for Geddy, good enough for me
I'd say I'm a mid-level non-professional guitarist. I recently bought a Geddy Lee (Rush) signature model Fender jazz bass guitar, and needed a strap. Naturally, I did some online research to find out what brand of straps Geddy uses. I found a recent interview with his tech who said Geddy uses straps from Levy's Leathers and strap-loks, so I sought those out. This strap was a great deal on Amazon and fit the bill perfectly. Super high quality, fine stitching, not difficult to adjust the length, and very comfortable. I think the amount of padding is just right--comfortable but not puffy. I have mainly played regular guitars, so I didn't realize the importance of getting a wider strap for a big bass. It helps *a lot* with comfort, but also avoids the need to get a sliding pad in just the right position because it's wide the whole way down, so I'm pleased with the 3.5-inch width. Very comfortable and secure. I can't comment on the holes, because I put strap-loks on it immediately. Because of the thickness, it was a bit challenging to attach strap-loks, but with a little effort and persistence, it was fine. I got the strap-loks on, they look great, and this is not going anywhere. I've played for a couple hours at a time without any trouble from the strap. I'm looking for another strap for a different bass, and expect that I'll go back to Levy's.

Excellent strap
Needed a strap for an Acoustic bass guitar which is neck heavy. I tried many others both fabric and leather with no success. The fabric padded ones all had too much slip which allowed the neck to dive. I tried a leather strap which was more expensive from another company with a suede back but it was uncomfortable and although it didn’t slip it pulled too much and didn’t have enough padding. This strap from Levy is the best yet and a keeper. It has the right amount of padding to be comfortable but not bulky, and because of its width and padding it prevents neck dive without pulling on your shirt. The leather is extremely supple and the suede back does it’s job of preventing neck dive. Simply put the strap works, is well made for a great price and an added bonus is it’s made in Atlantic Canada not China.

Feels Good...
Soft leather, extremely well made, love the suede backing which helps keep it in place on you shoulder. The padding sandwiched between the leather is about 1/8th inch but appears to help. Thicker padding might be nice. The fact this one is 3.5 inches wide I think makes the big difference, as compared to a 2inch strap. (Be sure to use strap locks) Would I buy it again... Yes.

Wide, comfortable, well made-a quality strap for your bass
Wide, comfortable genuine leather bass strap. Well made and not thin or flimsy.

Outstanding quality
Excellent quality of leather and the perfect width and adjustable length. Very pleased to give my boyfriend such a nice guitar strap. I will recommend your product to anyone looking for a guitar strap.

I always try and buy Levy's brand guitar straps if I can. The quality is just leagues ahead of the competition around the same price. They are cheaper straps, but the quality and craftsmanship is worth it. This particular strap was bought for use with bass and it's perfect. Nice and wide. With a layer of padding inside the leather. And if you're a sucker for that 'new leather smell' this has it in spades. It's not incredibly long, even on its longest loops, so if you like a low slung base I'd advise going for the XL version. Same width, just longer. But for a 'comfort fit' it's perfect.

Leather is bizarre stuff. It's touch as hell and last for ever. Should be uncomfortable. For most of my 45+ years of playing, I used to have a thinner, but similarly wide leather strap that was so uncomfortable on its inner padding that I used it reversed. Luckily, I didn't have a lot of instruments with serious head-dive issues, as this strap was polished on the 'outside' I was using on the inside. Then I was given a faux-leather strap - thrown in with a bass I bought - that was just a bit more comfortable, about 9 years ago. Retailed at £40. I kept going back and forth, but eventually abandoned and discarded the old leather thing, but still wasn't 100% comfortable. This I bought for a new 5-string fretless - I just felt it's be nice to get everything from scratch for such a great instruments. Plus I wanted to chance the gamble that it might just be better that the faux leather one. But, given I use Schaller Strap Locks (the old, good ones that don't come undone and throw your axe on the floor), I'm now using this one exclusively on all my instruments. Dunno what they've put in between the outer tough leather and the inner, very comfortable lining, but this makes every one of my basses and guitars feel lighter, less of a drag on the shoulder; even my fretted 5-string, which is nearly as heavy as an early 90s Stringray 5 I sold due to shoulder problems. I got it when it was at around £30, but, IMHO, it's even worth getting for the current 150% of what I paid. It just has enough grip to counter any neck-dive (my SG Pro, of course, has some); but it never tears at my shoulder. I'd happily use this with a heavy-generation Les Paul - not that I have one). It makes my late-70s Jazz Bass (the heavy generation) feel like a toy. Not that the old leather strap was a problem on all-nighter gigs, but this is just a major upgrade. And I'm not 30 anymore and can't deal with those heavy concrete basses quite as well as back then. I highly recommend this strap for - at least in my experience - the most comfortable, relaxed playing experience. BTW, I have my instruments fairly high up, and that means more pull on the shoulder. No; this is really fine and comfortable - very comfortable!! The 3.5" width is on the brink, but it's not so wide that it chaffs your neck (you body's neck, not you bass' neck), and I'm not a very wide build. Thanks to you guys at Levy's for creating this, for my linking - a seasoned player -, best strap there is on the market. I might not wear your jeans, but I sure might get another of these for quick-changing instruments in a life setting. SUPER-HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Tracolla in pelle solida e curata nelle finiture. Con un po' di imbottitura che con strumenti pesanti fa' la differenza. Il prezzo è considerevole ma la qualità c'è e credo che durerà a lungo. A volte meglio spendere qualcosa in più se è di qualità, come in questo caso. Spedizione puntuale e perfetta.

Being a card carrying member of the Large Bloke Club the level at which guitars on regular length straps hang on me has risen over the years like the incoming tide. Went for proper leather rather than nylon and I must say I'm extremely impressed. The strap is well padded and very long... I'm 6' and very broad and I've only got it on the 2nd hole. I'm hanging a big old Ibanez Musician Bass on this (heavy beast) and it's the most comfortable strap I've ever had. Nice and wide so it spreads the weight over all of your shoulder area and the edges are soft enough so that they don't rub your neck raw when moving about. Was a bit skeptical about paying such a high price for a strap, but no more. I'll be ordering two more for my other guitars. ...and the best bit is you get that lovely new leather smell hanging about after playing for a bit. :)
