Good sauce
Really good alternative. I made lasagna and it was great. I used the whole jar on 9x13 pan. It’s thick and has consistency of homemade sauce. It’s a bit pricey but it is of good quality. I’m buying it again.Update:Bought it a second time and made a pizza which was good. Then froze the remainder in ice cube tray. 2 weeks later I dethawed 8 cubes and made a meat sauce for spaghetti. It was also good. It held up great in the freezer. So giving 5 more stars. 🙂

Taste Great
I purchased this for my daughter who has gastritis and she can’t have any tomato based products. I used this for ravioli for her and the taste was great. I’ve used this for pizza and for spaghetti for her. I recommend this for anyone who can have an actual tomato based product.

Great Alternative to Spaghetti Sauce, but
It is very bland. If you’re use to a lot of flavor & spices, I would suggest adding in your own herbs and spices.I got a pan and threw some olive oil on it, then added chopped fresh onions, garlic and basil. Added oregano seasoning, although fresh oregano might be better. I then added a dash of rice vinegar, and a dash of salt . Cayenne Pepper(optional) …I added some cayenne for a little heat factor.Let that sauté a bit and then add in the sauce until hot. You can add a dash of water if you find it to be a bit thick. The rice vinegar will create a more acidic taste, so if you don’t want that, skip that part. Will be buying again, would like to try it on pizza next!

I wasn't sure about the taste, but not bad.
4 stars because of the price and the liquid separating makes me wonder if it would actually stick to noodles. However, it actually tastes good! I food prepped with it so I'll have to try to update how it does when you freeze it and thaw it.Taste: Even without adding any spice to it, it tasted pretty good. I tasted it straight from the jar and it was surprisingly good since I didn't expect this to have any flavor. I did add more Italian seasoning because I wanted to. It's tasters choice on whether to add seasoning or not just like some people like extra pepper or salt and some people don't like a lot of salt or pepper.Texture: Right of the jar and from what I remember real tomato sauce looked like before developing an allergy to tomatoes, the texture looks like any jar tomato sauce.Color: It's orange, but it's more like the color orange that stains your plastic containers. It's not so orange that it's unappealing. The reason I give it 4 stars is because liquid seems to separate from the vegetables that make the sauce. However, that could be from me using a little water in the jar to make sure I got every bit of sauce like we did back in the day when I wasn't allergic to tomatoes. However, that brings up an issue if you're making something that requires another ingredient that has liquid in it. For example, I'm not 100% sure I would make lasagna since the ricotta mixture isn't dry so the sauce may not blend well with it. It also makes me wonder how well it sticks to noodles if they're still a bit wet versus dried out and stuck together so they look like a blob of Raman noodles.Again, the price is extremely high. I tried making my own and the same ingredients used in the sauce was maybe $10-$15 and made a lot more than two jars that aren't even 32 oz (which is the amount most recipes call for), but my homemade attempts turned out to be a science experiments and it was easier just to buy it. I realize a business needs to make a profit, but the price is way too high.

Tastes Just like Tomato Sauce
I recently became aware that I am sensitive to nightshades, gluten and dairy. To say I love tomatoes is an understatement. I learned from my nutrition instructor about Nomato Sauce. I was a bit skeptical that carrots and beets could taste just like tomato sauce. The sauce tastes exactly like the most delicious tomato sauce. I hope that the word gets around and that you can distribute it to stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.
