THIRSTY Original Towels Hooded Luxury Turkish Cotton Bath Robe for Men and Women

Fantastic robe. We've worn Turkish cotton robes in our home for decades and this is the best one yet. I ordered a Navy Blue Large robe for my 65 year old husband who is 5' 8 or 9 inches and about 180 lbs on a good day. There is ample extra material for a larger person to wrap the robe around. The robe goes down to just above his ankles. He likes the length. The arms have double thickness cuffs and we folded the cuffs back the length of the cuff and the sleeve length is now perfect. The robe came folded in a plastic type shipping bag. The bag couldn't have weighed more than a few ounces. Before opening it, I placed the packaged robe on my kitchen scale. It weighed 5.5 pounds exactly. The robe is very heavy, soft and comfortable. Excellent choice for any place that gets cold. We live in an area with very hot summers and very cold winters. My husband wears his robe every day. Unless you are in a hot climate like Hawaii, this robe is a great choice.Update Dec. 2018 - This robe ripped down the middle of the back in the dryer. It must have caught on something. The robe is worn everyday, for several hours everyday, even in the summer. It gets used a lot. I'm still happy with the robe. If not for the dryer snafu, it would have lasted longer. Other than the rip, it's still in good shape. 2.5 years of use is good considering how much it gets used. I'm ordering another just like it.

Well the heaviness is outstanding. But the sizes are weird. I wear a size 14 usually and I ordered an xxl. It’s really made for a man because the shoulders are huge and the waste small so when you wrap around the robe it’s way too short around the middle. For xxl the middle should wrap around a WOMAN too not just a man. There’s only 4 inches overlapping and I should be wearing an xl but opted for a larger size to have it wrap around me the right way and it doesn’t. I will see if a tailor can do something to make it fit right. The material and length is outstanding. It’s just too short around the waste.***. The seller sent me the size chart and I’ll be ordering a 2nd as an xxxl and I’ll take it to a tailor to have them hem it a few inches. The xxl measures 60 inches from one side to the other. The xxxl adds 5-6 more inches around the circumference but also a few more to the length.These robes are way too nice to send back and the thickest ones I’ve ever seen and coming from LA and SF where you can buy the best, this is right up there. So I’ll have the large one tailored for comfort.

This is a winter robe, it is really thick and really heavy. I felt like with a couple design changes they could reduce the weight of it (not the thickness) around cuffs and where the edges are folded over. Because its already so thick, these areas just create added weight. It is lovely thick cotton and wonderfully long even the s/m size, but its just so heavy that I would not characterize it as a year round robe, unless you live in Alaska. It is also soft but not as soft as I was hoping. The other thing was that I ordered the cream color which is pictured more like coffee with cream only to receive actual cream or what you would call off white. So, I wish they would use a softer lighter but just as thick fabric and offer that lovely pale tan color for real. They need to make a nice thick but lighter weight robe for Spring/Summer or Florida year round.

I have purchased 4 robes from thirsty towels as well as a dozen bath towels. The robes are second to none! They are fantastic quality! Heavyweight when you get the 660 or 740 GSM and fit as they advertise them. I purchased a large/XLas well as a 3X large and they both fit exactly the way I want them. Thirsty towels was even nice enough to monogram both bathrobes with our names prior to shipment after a quick email sent to them. I would highly recommend these robes to anybody that wants something of quality that will last a lifetime!

I was looking for a full length terry robe and was happy when I found this one in navy. It was thick in the bag. However, when I pulled it out of the bag it was shedding very badly. I thought it would get better when I washed it. One wash and it is faded and looks old and worn. I do not recommend this product.

Buy it, its worth the money. This Turkish Cotton is so absorbent me and my girlfriend no longer dry off. Just put on the robe and you are dry in minutes no joke. She obviously still has to dry her hair but for a shaved head guy like me I just put the hood on and my head is dry in a couple minutes. The Turkish Cotton breathes well though so hang it up on a hook and its dry as a bone for your next shower. High quality, very thick and warm. I have already bought 3, 1 for me, 1 for my girlfriend, and 1 for my son.

I really love this robe. I read previous comments and looked at other robes, before deciding on this one. Only downside is, the navy blue didn't come in my size. The weight of it surprised me. The length is perfect, down to my feet and I'm 5 ft. tall. It's warm, cozy and everything that is described. I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for warmth, style, etc., .

I am 5-9" ordered medium/small fits well. It's heavy and soft. Good length.Just be careful when opening the package first time, it sheds I mean a lot. Luckily I opened it in the garage and I was surprised at the tiny cotton bits...all over the place .

The whole inside tie along with the outside tie made me laugh, must of been a decade since I put on a robe. Soft and heavy material. Can't comment on how well it will hold up over time bit for now she's 5 stars

Good product, shipped very fast and was as described. Watch out when drying this item, I suggest ordering it larger to allow for shrinkage.
