5 stars for price & shipping time-GREAT PRICE, GREAT SHIPPING (I bought 2 others as gifts-FYI I have had this for a couple weeks, I have used it regularly and it cracked across the top. The ones I bought for friends haven’t cracked across the top as mine has. However, they haven’t used it yet. This is really is a “you get what you for item”. Wood is nice, I LOVE the size...depth and the length are great for all intents & purposes. However, mine cracked after a week.

nice lettering! however disappointed in finish. the lock is very good. very slow delivery. had to order one w/sppeedy delivery. however that lock was picked so easy. so then gave this box which may be worth wait.

I love this wooden box! It is the perfect size for what I need. The only downfall is I wish the lock and key were a little more sturdy, other than that, I love it

I think the boxes are cute and worth the money. I purchased 7 of these boxes as Christmas gifts. The only issue with one of the box was the lettering wasn’t as visible or clear as the letters on the other boxes. This was the box with letter Z. In addition, the wood used for the letter Z seemed different than the wood for the K and M box.

I got this for a Christmas present for a friend who wanted a lockable keepsake box for more valuable items. Particularly, she wanted a wooden box with a lock and key and I found this. It seemed perfect! Not really, however, it was too good to be true.The positives: the box actually arrived quicker than planned. It was supposed to arrive anywhere from 12/4 to 12/26 but it arrived a month earlier, 11/26 which is really nice. The wood that the box is made from smells nice and the wooden part of the box is well made and decently stained. That’s it.The negatives: the staining! It looks pretty and it wasn’t sticky but I COULD NOT OPEN THE BOX upon removing it from the package! After a solid 15 minutes of trying to use household items to open the box (because I thought the issue was with the box being locked and the key was sealed inside) but nooooooooooooooo! The staining must have gotten some sort of sticky because it stuck the lid to the bottom of the box! If that wasn’t bad enough, I tried to test out the locking capabilities and discovered that it literally couldn’t lock. The main reason that I even bought this was for my friend to be able to lock it AND THE BOX’S LOCK WAS INCAPABLE OF DOING SO! No where in the description talks about the lock being so poorly constructed. It’s almost as if the only reason they decided to put a lock on it was for show or for the recipient to play with the lock as if it were a toy! Other petty negatives would be that the engraving weirdly stands out against the beautifully stained wood, the clip-lock is tough to close and open because of tension and that shipping was pretty expensive. I almost felt obligated to pay 20$ more for shipping (which is more than the box not discounted) to receive the box on time!TL;DR: box was nice but it will require a new lock and some decorating. Do not recommend for those who wanted a lockable keepsake box. If I was to give advice to someone who was committed to giving this to a friend, open the box up yourself first and “break it in” before giving to another person. I do NOT recommend anyone buying this product; there are better boxes out there.
