MEIDI Food Thermometer Waterproof Digital Cooking Kitchen Meat Thermometer (Black)

I work as a Develpment Chef so used a number of Thermometer Probes in the past.Purchased this equipment to use at home and found it to be great. Easy to calabrate (only needed reducing by 0.6°c). Quick to read - and + temperatures with great accuracy. Also comes with a handy built in magnet so it can be stored on the fridge for easy access along with an auto flip display depending on which angle you are holding it.

very nice Food Thermometer. there's nothing really bad to say about it. only some suggestions if the manufacture reads this. as for accuracy it says in the description that it has a response time of within 2-3 seconds. for the most part this is true but sometimes it can take up to 5 seconds still this is acceptably good. temperature Accuracy i also found to be good it says in the description that it's accurate to ±1°C (±2°F) i found that it fluctuates between 1/2 degrees each way. not bad but i fail to understand why the manufacture made it to work in 1/2 degrees. measuring in 1. degree increments is accurate enough. unlike expensive Thermometers like Thermapen that are ridiculously way overpriced this unit is much better value for the money as it will do everything that the Thermapen will do and is a lot cheaper. also it's a lot easier to calibrate it's accuracy. to calibrate just press a few buttons. unfortunately it doesn't have a built in food cooking temperature guide. it came with a rough temperature guide printed on the back of the cardboard box. i would have preferred the meat cooking temperature guide to have been built into the LCD screen like some other makes of Thermometer. maybe the manufacture will add this feature in a future model. i would even pay extra for this feature because it's better to have it built in. also it would be nice if it had come with a plastic storage case because i don't like attaching it to the fridge door as it will get exposed to dust in the air and many other contaminants. it would be so much better to have a storage case. also for it to be able to use standard AAA battery's instead as these are more readily available from all shops. great product at a great price. recommended.

Good quality, works. Dropped it in the sink full of water and it continued to work. Only annoying thing is you have to refer to the box for the ‘correct’ temperatures. It would be better if it had a setting or if the temps were on the device

Very easy to use. The automatic turn on/off function when you flip it out is very convenient and the magnetic back is very useful for storage.

I got an email from the company I bought this from saying they urgently need my help as their competitors are talking smack about this product.This thermometer is the best I have ever had it is 100% accurate! How do I know this you might ask? Well when the chicken reads 74c I check and hurray the chicken is perfect.Don’t let negative reviews put you off buying this product because it is simply awesome. I saw Celebrity Masterchef using it too!Oh and the speed of this thermometer is great too and it folds up nicely so you do not spike yourself like some others I have had.

I am very impressed by the quality of this thermometer. Seems to be very accurate with a huge display which flips as the thermometer flips. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone looking for a food thermometer. The instant read temperature is extremely useful. Overall fantastic bit of kit for a very reasonable price.

Not a bad thermometer for the first few uses, then the screen died. Not good value for money and absolutely not as advertised, it is simply not ‘waterproof’. I used it to check the temperature of my mash kettle and fermenters and I guess the steam off the kettle has clearly killed it, never submerged in water or even heavily splashed. Disappointing, would not recommend, spend a little more and get a proper one that is actually waterproof.

MEIDI food thermometer has good functionality and its readings are sometimes accurate and quite exact. But sometimes it shows out of the blue in warm water for example over 200 degrees C.In short its not device you can rely on. Obviously return it. So I waste my time and money.Would I buy it again? - No, not MEDI thermometer.
