pretty much the same design as what my physician uses
i've always had bad ear wax problems. as a child i still recall when as a last resort they ended up scraping my inner ears which was so painful i remember it like it was yesterday. a few weeks ago my one ear went silent. i ended up going to my physician and they did what they could using a device that looks and operates pretty much the same as this one does. they were able to get a lot out but some was so hard it wouldn't come out. i was told to keep cleaning at home on a daily basis and then in a month come back to see if the very hard layer of wax had been cleaned up.so i picked this up and on arrival as said noticed it really did look like the one in the office. even though my doctor said to use a solution called 'debrox' which for a small bottle costs near ten bucks.**TIP my nurse told me that i could take a 50/50 hydrogen peroxide water mix and it would work just about the same but in my case cost a lot less.**the different size tips help as we all have different size ears. it is easy to use just follow the instructions to flush the wax out. it takes multiple attempts and for most folks once should be enough. but as said in my case with hard stubborn was a few days to completely remove it all. it doesn't come with a catch basin but a flexible plastic cup or container works just as well.for the price, design and how well it works i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to others.

It's awesome!!
First, I want to say that I am, what my doctor calls, an "over producer" of ear wax. Yay! Go me! That's something to be proud of huh?I had this water procedure done at my Dr's office before and hated it. I felt like my entire head was being filled with water and I was miserable and uncomfortable. Lately, I've not been able to clear my ears of wax like I usually do and this has resulted in both of my ears being clogged for months! So, knowing that I would absolutely DREAD this procedure, I went ahead and ordered this product. You fill the reservoir in the spray bottle with water. It says not hot and not cold, plus add just a touch of hydrogen peroxide. Then you attach the tube. What you do is you squeeze the trigger and the water travels through the tube and into your ear. There is a disc at the end of the tube which prevents you from sticking the tube into your ear too far.Since you are in control of the squeezing, you control how much water goes into your ear and how often. There isn't any suction - you are literally flushing and irrigating your ear. No pain.. No pressure.. Nothing uncomfortable. The first time I did it, I had someone do it for me. He sprayed the water and also held a plastic dish under my ear to catch the water and debris. The second time, I did it myself. It took some finagling, but soon I was flushing both ears on my own.I love this product so much and have told my entire family about it. It does the job well and I am so happy with it. I'm doing it once a week because I actually love it so much.

Works Extremely Well
I ordered this several years ago and misplaced it. I found it recently just as I was about to go to the Dr. for ear wax removal. This works extremely well, I'm quite pleased! I did use ear wax softening drops for 3 days prior to using this product, so I'm sure that helped as well.

Slow, but does the job
My first instinct was to give this a 4 star, because the stream isn't as powerful as i was hoping, nothing like if you have had it done in the doctors office. However I realized that they probably can't do anymore for an at home kit. So that being said, this does work, it just takes some persistence. It took me about 4 sessions (morning, night, morning, night) for it to get completely out. I used mineral oil to soften, and each time another layer came out. Now my hearing is restored! So if you need an immediate fix you may still want to go see the doctor, but if you are patient this will get the job done.

Doesn’t work.
I cannot get the sprayer to work, it’s just a spring, a handle and a little white cover piece.. am I putting this thing together wrong, I’m not sure but I don’t see how this would ever create suction to produce water out of the sprayer?

FINALLY! This is a brilliant solution
I'm a nurse in the Emergency Department and have disimpacted many an ear of excess cerumen (wax). We use a variety of tools for this in the ER. Unfortunately, my wife suffers from excess wax buildup made worse by her hearing aids. Combined with the fact that her external ear canals are very small for an adult, getting the wax out is a real chore, often painful, even using professional tools and an otoscope. THIS THING IS A GAME CHANGER.Forget squeeze bulbs or fussy syringes. Allow your favorite ear wax softener to dwell in the ear for 10 or 15 minutes, then blast away with this thing. I hope it lasts, because it's the best thing I've ever used for this task. Highly recommended.

Can be dangerous to use
Works as advertised with one very dangerous flaw. The tip that gets inserted in your ear has soft rubber tips which are not permanently attached. If the tips are bent, they can be forced out with pressure from the water. Happened to me and it got stuck in my ear. It had to be removed with tweezers. Either remove the rubber tips altogether or do not use.
