Nice quality and very helpful
Purchased this collar for my dear, sweet German Shepherd. She is prone to an apparent skin allergy and will chew on herself until she has scabby sores. Have had her to several vets. Tried several grain free foods to no avail. She is on a flea preventative and has not one single flea. She has been on medications, creams and shampoos and still no improvement. I didn't want to put a "cone of shame" on her so I thought to try this collar. I purchased the size L. It fits well, secures well. The material is flocked and seems "cozy" and durable. I read a few reviews that stated they could not inflate it. This collar has a "pinch valve" in it - the kind you find on pool/water inflatables. You need to squeeze the very base of the valve to open as you blow or pump air into it. It took a little bit of work but it was fairly easy to inflate by mouth. The size L fits my German Shepherd very well and the velcro strap is a nice feature to make it stable and secure. It actually prevents her from chewing on her sides, hind legs and back. She can sleep in it (but I admit she doesn't look happy about it!) and can eat, drink and go outside to potty in it. I don't think my dog would recommend it, but I happily do.

This really did save the day.
This E-Kong Cone worked very well. Our poor dog didn't love it, but he was not scared of it and endured it okay. We only used it when we couldn't keep an eye on him following a surgery. He's a big dog (about 75#) and the surgery was high on his rear inner thigh near the groin. This cone easily kept him from getting at that spot. The material outside is soft and substantial, and I believe the inner tube is sturdy (had to use a pump to inflate it). I think it's a very good product that helped us immensely. Very glad we bought it.Update April 2019: Sweet dog had a front leg shaved area for an IV site that he kept licking like crazy. Was afraid of a hot spot developing. I never really thought this pillow would keep him from him reaching a front leg, but IT DID. I am so glad. This collar has saved lots of grief at our house twice now!

Not for animals that have been spayed or neutered
I was very excited to give him something more comfortable to wear other than the hard, plastic cone. However, within 5 minutes he had bypassed this and was licking his wound after being neutered. It was a waste of money for that purpose. It may work if the wound was somewhere else, but I wouldn’t suggest for spaying or neutering surgeries.

Better alternative to traditional e-collar
I bought this for my 60lb boxer puppy. I bought the XL size with the intention of making sure he couldn't get to his sutures, he is very flexible! I had tried a practice run with a traditional plastic e-collar cone, but my dog went buckwild, so I took a chance on this kind. So far so good, my puppy tolerates this one way more than he did the cone! It's very easy to blow up and put on/take off. I definitely recommend this kind. My puppy even uses it sort of like a pillow when he's lying down and resting.

Much better than the plastic cone the vets use!
So much better than the cones that freak your pet out. My dog actually likes the e-Kong version of the cone...we call it her necklace. It works to keep her from bothering her incision, but she can sleep with it on.

Great idea, great collar!
Size medium worked perfectly for my 12 pound schnoodle after her surgery. She was so much more comfortable in this than she would have been in the vet's Elizabethan collar. My pup wore it day and night for 10 days comfortably.

It works
Fit well, worked great during the day, we thought she might be able to push it off so at night we used the vets plastic “come of shame” just to be sure. It was comfortable, easy on and off. Recommend!
