Women's 100% Cashmere Classic Cardigan Sweater

As stated in my title, I used to wear the Valerie Stevens cashmere sweaters offered at Robinsons May, until they closed down. I had eight sweaters but have gone up a size over the last few years. So bummed because, you know, cashmere sweaters are expensive AND always too thin. I have been on the search for replacements to my 10+ year old sweaters and I finally found them- in the SOFIE sweater. This is a double ply (that doesn't sound right...double knit?), with seams JUST like the Valerie Stevens. The color is vibrant and the sweater is super soft; I'm sure my yorkie can't wait till I lay it out on my bed so he can cuddle up inside of it.UPDATE: I can't believe the price went up so much on this item. When I bought my two sweaters, I think they were $89 each- now they are listed as $170??? I would not but this sweater for that price. I have shoved my face in cashmere sweaters that cost that much, so I feel comfortable telling you that this sweater IS NOT WORTH $170. $89, yes- it's totally worth $89.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It is a beautiful sweater and very, very soft. I was concerned about the sizing, but was very pleased when the package arrived. The color was almost a perfect match to picture online. The workmanship is very nice and should be a lovely addition to my daughter's professional investment piece wardrobe. Amazon did its usual terrific job of delivering the package before the promised date so that I could wrap and send it early.

the sweater is ok as a basic, but not fitted and fashionable like the picture. if you are between sizes, go down since it runs very generous. since i bought this, i have seen similar quality for much less

I purchased this to replace my often-worn, now tattered merino wool sweater. I wasn't thrilled with the color I chose (couldn't find one that I liked any better). I thought it was a lighter grey. In reality, it was dark grey and therefore too close in color to another sweater that I have. If I would have found another color to my liking, I might have exchanged rather than replaced. I might also have ordered one size up, since I prefer a looser, less fitted look. The cashmere of this sweater was beautiful. I'm still without a replacement sweater that I can afford. The only one that I've come across in the stores or online was more than twice the cost of this one.

This sweater is completely unexpected. I did expect it to be soft and it is even after a year of washing and wearing. The unexpected part is how warm it is. It is very lightweight, but the warm factor completely blows me away. For the size it outperforms some of my coats for keeping me warm. My kids always want to wear it when I have it with me because it's so soft and warm. In fact my daughter had it on one day and lost it so now I am devastated that's it's not still available!

There is no interfacing or facing on the button front - allowing for the garment to sag and not hang properly.Corners were cut on production.I would not recommend this product. Also the rib at the neckline and hem and sleeve ends is quite thin so I think it would stretch out.

It's warm and soft. It's been keeping me warm in harsh winter. Just a bit larger than I expected, especially the sleeves are little wide. good buy in good price.
