Beautiful Product, Stong Company Support
Did an initial review giving Akron Fire a 1 star being that engineered parts didn`t fit properly.The company has truly bent over backwards to make sure my satisfaction of the fan and their service wouldbe once again totally to my standards ( which are high). They have implemented tighter controls so that my situation of initially receiving incorrect parts would not happen to other customers. They make a beautiful product that's well constructed.

Poor construction, poor balance
I don't usually write reviews, but I'd like to save others from making the same mistake of purchasing this unit. While it looks great, this is a cheap chinese fan. The big issue is sloppy construction, the fan blades weren't even properly screwed to the motor - but the big point is even after buying a balancing kit and doing everything possible to balance (tightening all the mounting, etc) - the fan won't balance. I attribute this to the significant mass of the surrounding cage and that the result is torsional frequencies that make it much more sensitive than a typical fan. Summing this up, the remote requires a special battery which doesn't even come with this $500 fan - are you kidding me? If all you want is the light (which won't even work with a dimmer switch) - then sure buy this, but the fan is useless.
