Pimsleur Polish Basic Course - Level 1 Lessons 1-10 CD, Volume 1: Learn to Speak and Understand Polish with Pimsleur Language Programs

This is Polish 1 but I was disappointed on finishing the discs to find there's no Pimsleur Polish 2, or not on disc anyway. I haven't tested out any of my Polish yet so for all I know it's been teaching me Klingon! But if so, I can definitely and confidently ask a Klingon if they would like something to drink. I can also say "at one o'clock", "at two o'clock", "at three o'clock", "at four o'clock", "at five o'clock", "at eight o'clock" and "at nine o'clock". Polish people don't seem to do anything at 6, 7, 10, 11 or 12.It was fun, or at least driving with it on the car stereo was fun.

I have found this 'Pimsleur method' CD set to be the best and fastest way to learn Polish, I listen to it in my car and found that in 3 weeks I was engaging in Polish conversation with my Polish friends- EXCELLENT.

Very quick to pick up due to the way it engages you rather than just repetition.Just 30 minutes a day. Great for car journeys when you have nothing else to do

My father decided to learn polish. Now he's fluent.

It is very good as it helps your learn at your pace. It also helps you to focus on your language techniques. Often when you hear polish being spoken around you, you can pick up the meanings from what you have learnt with these audio cds.

I bought this cd as a present and I know that someone is listening the cds and trying to learn a polish language.

Those cd were for my English partner who's said it's the most perfect way to learn new language.

I have finally found a course that helps to teach me the basics of the polish language without bothering with the intricacies of spelling and writing. Since what I need is basic conversation this is ideal. It is also so great that one can learn while driving. Helps keep your road rage in check too lol. I found it so good that I have ordered another for my husband, since we work together.

I like this program because I had no knowledge of Polish and as I am planning a trip next year, I wanted to have the basics. It was easy to follow and explained in easy to understand instructions. Maybe a written little dictionary to accompany would have been helpful since I am a visual learner...

I am enjoying the so far the 4 lessons I have done, I find it works very well to get across recollecting the Polish words. I very much like that you are constantly saying out loud the sentences. I would highly recommend it

I was impressed by the research that supports this method of learning a language. I liked the 30 minute lessons, easy to fit into a busy schedule. I liked the way the words and phrases from previous lessons were combined with the new ones from the next lesson, which made it easier to remember and understand what had already been learned. The frequent "listen and repeat" allow you to practice speaking common phrases. I am by no means fluent in Polish after 10 basic lessons, but my Polish co-workers have been impressed at how quickly I have learned to understand and use some common phrases. This system does start to train your ears to hear and listen to a new language. I did each lesson twice before moving to the next one. I would definitely recommend this system (and the price is right). This system is completely oral, so will not be right for someone who wants to learn to read and write in a new language. I will definitely continue to learn using the Pimsleur Language products.
