Columbia Mens PFG Tamiami II Long Sleeve Shirt

Good quality and great style. Really cool for the body. Perfect for summer days and outdoor activities. We just had to return because the sizing in US is different from what we bought in Columbia Manila branch. Medium size from Amazon is Large in Manila version. But the style is exactly the same. Fortunately, returning is free.

THE field shirt. This is the only shirt I take to wild places. Especially hot wild places. It is comfortable, well ventilated, has perfect sun protection, keeps insects off. Quite durable. Mine take considerable abuse and stay intact. Rinses out easily, and dries quickly even in equatorial climates. In colder climates, effectively serves as a layer. The flat out best. I would note that I see guides in this shirt quite frequently, and have even had one ask me to bring one he had shipped to our home.

Theses shirts are really really awesome, they are light, breathable, a protects you against the sun, with and easy clean and no need to iron, I recommend downsize one size for better fit. if you are looking for a shirt to work, fishing or something like that wherever the weather I hot, this is your shirt.

1) color - "Key West" I chose this color, which is one of the more expensive color choices, because it looks "cooler" compared with reddish or pinkish color which gives warmer look. Also, I felt this greenish color may nicely blend with nature. I bought this shirt primarily for hiking and trekking, not for fishing. The actual color is more like a neon highlighter type green. It's very bright and stands out, so it's not a kind of color that blends in nature. My wife says she likes the color, but I personally wanted a little more subdued color. Also, it can be considered safety feature since the shirts can be easily spotted. The brightness of the color might have something to do with the UV protection feature. 2) material Very light and thin. It also stretches to some extent. Comfortable. Because it is thin, the area that has only a single layer of the fabric looks darker (because of your body color) while the pockets and the areas that have two layers of the fabric (seams, around the front button, cuff, etc.) looks much brighter. In other words, the shirts don't look like a solid color overall. If you choose a darker color, you may not see color difference. 3) size I'm 7 ft 9 in and 157 lb. I typically order "Medium," but chose "Small" as some reviewers suggested. They are absolutely right. The "Small" gives me fuller look, i.e., there is still a lot of room around my body. I think it can easily fit people who are heavier than I am. 4) features Two large front pockets. Each has two smaller pockets on top of it. The loops to hold rolled-up sleeves are nice. When you roll up your sleeves to secure with the loops, I suggest you unbutton the cuff button, but keep the second button (one close to your elbow) on so that the sleeves stays rolled up in the loops. Overall, nice shirts.

The Columbia Men's Tamiami II Long sleeve is an exceptionally light and fashionable long sleeve shirt. Part of the PFG (Performance Fishing Gear) line, it's advertised under their "Omni-Shade" billing, which is part marketing, but it really does offer great sun protection and wicking for such a light material. Living in the South Carolina low country I can tell you first hand, it is excellent for boating, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities. This is worth mentioning, because I would highly recommend the long sleeve version of this shirt if you intend to use it outside, especially in water sports where the sun can be brutal and effective sun protection is important. One of the killer features for me was the convenient sleeve ties. on the side of the sleeves there are loops and ties to keep the sleeves up, it seems simple but it's so much more convenient than constantly pushing or re-rolling sleeves like I have to with other shirts. It's also a great casual button down. They offer nice bright colors which is a nice change of pace from some of the more natural, slate, khaki and olive colors you'll see on a lot of outdoor wear. I purchased my first shirt from a Columbia outlet and it quickly became one of my favorite shirts, so I purchased this one on-line. I haven't had any wear issues with either shirt so far, it's been several months on the first and a month on the second. SIZING EXPLAINED In reading other reviews there is a lot of confusion on the sizing of this shirt. I had a chance to try on various sizes. I'm normally an XL, in trying on the XL in the store, there was a lot of extra room especially in the back. IMPORTANT, This is not a flaw in the sizing, this is the style of shirt. Fishing shirts typically have many large pockets, and extra room in the torso/back. part of this is designed to allow fisherman to store gear, even large items, in those pockets without making the shirt tight against them. I also tried the Large size, to compare. It fit very comfortably, as I would expect in a standard fit. I chose to get the Large size because the tighter fit looked good, and I don't expect to do as much serious fishing as just wearing the shirt around town. I bought a large on-line as well and the fit was comparable to the one I bought in the store. CONCLUSION This is a great active shirt, that will also look good as a casual button down. Recognize this is sold as a fishing shirt, and make sure you adjust the size you order to fit your specific needs. Enjoy.

Quite impressed with how comfortable and light this shirt is. One thing to note is that the sizes tend to run a little bigger then a normal shirt so you may have to get a size smaller then what your used to wearing.

Cómo era de esperarse de columbia: excelente calidad. El color está muy bonito, la tela fresca (a pesar de ser sintética), buenos acabados y muy buena protección contra el sol.
