Daughters love it
I bought a copy for both my 11 and 13 year old daughters. I purchased the teenage edition because of another reviewer saying it was appropriate for her ten year old daughter. I now wish I had purchased the kid edition for my 11 year old, because a some of the questions were too mature for her. There's not anything racy, but there were some questions I had to explain to her and there were some about things like your first kiss or first date. Just things she hasn't experienced yet. I haven't seen inside the kid edition, but I think it might even have been better for my 13 year old alsoHaving said that, they both had a great time filling it out, and it prompted some great dinner table conversations about our family history. When they finish theirs, I'm going to put them away, so they can look back through them when they get older. This is something I wish I had done for myself as a child. I think we'll probably do a book like this every year or every couple of years.

Ok for fun, but not for real.
If you want to create something fun and quirky that you'll probably never look at again, but have a fun time doing, this is for you. It has fun little questions, like what president your cat would be if he was a president, if your cat likes comedy or horror movies etc.If you're looking for a REAL keepsake, I recommend "my cat's journal" by aaron hunt. it was by far the best of the four books i bought, get that one.

Little Sister Loved It!
I got this as a gift for my 13 year old sister along with "Q & A a Day for Kids: A Three-Year Journal". She's very outgoing and vivacious so I thought these two gifts would be a hit or miss, but I wanted to try anyways because I think it's important for her to document some life memories. After a few nights with "All About Me" , she ran up to me and hugged me so tightly. She couldn't stop talking about how much she LOVED this book! She said it was the perfect place to write funny answers for some of the questions, log stuff that happened in school, and occasionally vent. She said it was the best present anyone has ever given her.I later asked her about the other questionnaire journal. She said she preferred "All About Me" better because she could answer it on her own time schedule so it was easier to keep up with than the daily Q & A, which she'd usually forget for a few days then feel bad and not try to start it up again. All in all, I think both books have great value and are worth a try depending on the type of recipient.

Alright journal not really a "teenaged" offering
I expected more teenaged focused questions. The book doesn't offer much versatility in questions and they get pretty dull relatively early on in the book. There are a lot of questions that just aren't interesting or helpful or...relevant. I thought that this would be an insightful question book and journal. I think the idea is spot on but the execution could have been much better. It feels like they just didn't put much time into thinking of questions and with there being so many free internet options for the same idea, this didn't quite hit the mark. I'm not going to return it (I'll probably regift it) but if I could go back I'd probably pick something a little more thoughtful and creative.Ultimately it's just a journal.

All About My Dog is Adoreable
Love this book! I bought one for one of my cats several years ago. It's similar to a human baby book only specific questions about your dog (or cat). It makes a great gift also for any dog or cat lover!

MORE OF A WORKBOOK THAN A JOURNAL
I'll be returning this and getting a 2nd copy of Through My Eyes: A Journal for Teens by Linda Kranz. If your looking for a fill-in-the-blank & multiple choice workbook, rather than a thought provoking actual journal, then this is it. The images I provided reflect all but one front & back page of the entire book; and that one page is titled "Randomly list everything that comes to mind." The prompts are mostly good ("a piece of advice about friendship that you will always remember" / "considering all your friendships, you have learned this" / "the worst opinion adults have about young people" / ...), but your writer isn't given enough space to answer on [see the customer images]. My 12yr old niece would be disappointed if I gave her this. The creativity to add pictures, magazine cutouts, personal doodles, etc. is limited by the workbook structure of the pages. I wasn't expecting a scrapbook, but some more writing space to answer what is asked would have been nice; some blank pages in between all the "work" to let out on would have also been appropriate seeing as how this is suppose to be for a teen.

Good buy
This year for Christmas I purchased All About Me: The Teenage Edition and also the regular edition for each member of my family, younger members got the teenage edition of course, and they absolutely loved it. We are planning on filling them out and keeping them as keepsakes for future generations. I've also completed the book myself and it really makes you think about who you are and what you believe it. Great for teens who sometimes struggle to find their own identities.

My daughter loved this book
My daughter loved this book. She started filling it out immediately after getting it and finished the whole book, even though it is quite detailed, soon after receiving it. I would highly recommend.
