There’s only one other review right now on this, so I figured I’d give my initial unboxing and first test reaction. Overall, this thing feels good quality and does the job excellently. First thought when opening: this thing is small. Fits in the palm of the hand. Also, it doesn’t come with batteries. Not a big deal, but it wouldn’t be too hard to include a cheap set to get started with. You get what you pay for, and compared to a couple other more expensive Polyscience/Breville look-a-likes that come with accessories and free wood chips, this just has the smoker. And a decent one at that. Though it’s small, it feels weighty in the hand. Doesn’t feel plastic-y at all. The ad copy seems a bit flowery saying it’s super quiet, but it actually is quiet-ish. It makes noise, but not an upleasant one. The wood chip tray removes easily for cleaning. Though the wire mesh is a bit wide spaced, causing some of the chips to fall through. It stays contained in the removable tray and empties easy. Nothing got sucked into the fan mechanism area. The fan puts out a decent volume of thick smoke. It seems the trade off you get with the price savings is only a lack of accessories like covers and wood chips - and not the quality of the actual smoker. I can live with that. I bought this totally on my own decision. No free products, real buyer, with my own money. I’d buy again. Don’t let the lack of reviews throw you off.

It looks like a small square box, solid and stable during work, without any jitter, noise and other issues.The insulation effect of this machine is also very good! The body will not become very hot during use!Easy to disassemble!There is a battery cover at the bottom of the product. It can be supplied with two AA batteries.The amount of smoke is large and fast, and the concentration of smoke is also high!Quiet, the sound is so small that it can be ignored when working.Great product!

This is a sturdy, well built smoking gun. It easily beats both the smoking guns I already had, though admittedly neither of them were overly spendy. All 3 are in the same price range (a Gourmia I bought on Amazon, and one I bought elsewhere) and the Wancle outperforms them hands down. The fan is powerful and directs more smoke from less chips/sawdust. There is a hard plastic tapered plastic nozzle on the tubing that helps you direct smoke under the dome/cloche. The screen for the wood shavings is very sturdy, where others are flimsy. The tubing is shorter than the others but that is not a problem at all. Also both other guns use 4 batteries and the Wancle only 2, which is nice.

I bought this to apply a little smokey flavor to food i sous vide.It’s excellent for taking everything up a notch in flavor.I have a smoker as well, and it doesn’t come close to that level of smokey flavor, but it definitely adds something to the flavor profile.I use hickory wood pellets like those used in a pellet smoker.One thing I’ve noticed is that the smoke leaves a bit of a tar residue on the motor’s fan. This can gum things up a bit and cause the fan to stop working.Steps to fix:Using a screwdriver, pry off the wood chip basket and then use the screw driver to wiggle the fan a little, just to loosen it up.That’s sufficient to get it spinning again.

Not quite what I was expecting. I lot of work for a little smoke.

I been using this smoker 3 to 4 times a week since receiving it 2 months ago. To say this product exceeded my expectations would be an understatement! I can't get over how well this product works for the job it's intended for. What really impresses me is I fully expect to be using this product years into the future, given how well it is constructed and how smoothly it operates. I got it during a lightning deal at $8 less, but I would recommend it at $8 more! THANK YOU WANCLE!

The media could not be loaded.  I have bought 4 of these only because of the safty issue the other guns can tip over easy this unit sits stable on the surface you use it on . However the hose that the smoke tube hooks into the smoke box also is cheap engineering it will fall out and that makes it unsafe to use. They put a rubber washer on it and it should have a rigid tube attached to smoker or a screw in fitting. The motor is very light duty and does not last long I am guessing the heat gets to it and burns out the motor. The concept is a good one but the product itself is "CHEAPLY BUILT/ ENGINEERED" I AM RESEARCHING OTHER MODELS BECAUSE THESE ARE ECONOMICALY NOT A WISE INVESTMENT.
