Abbott Collection Cast Iron Sitting Buddha Garden Sculpture, Brown

This little guy is listed as an abbott, which is why I was really excited to get him - he'd be a little different from a traditional buddha. Alas, he is basically a buddha, which was something of a disappointment to me. I had chosen this guy for a number of reasons, none of which are very important, but which I will share with you nonetheless:1. he is cast iron (not super easy to find, and I needed iron for my anniversary2. he was listed as an abbott, and was a gift for my spouse, who is very, very smart and learned, much like an abbottThat said, he arrived and was more like a buddha.However, I gave him as a gift anyhow, and he went over very well. He watches over our living room from a perch where he is visible but not gaudily so. He seems to like his spot: he's got some lovely plants to shade him and keep the air clean, he's not crowded in by other characters, and he enjoys much quiet time.His size is absolutely perfect - he checks in at about 5-6" tall and about 4-5" wide at the knees, so he's cute and small, but not tiny. He weighs a good deal, being made of cast iron, and he's got nice soft detail.I'd recommend this little guy to anyone who's in need of a buddha/abbott, you'll get no complaints from me.

Looks good from the distance, definitely fits in the garden .Not for the detail oriented person.

Looks great on my patio. Very durable and just the right weight. It is hollow, but that doesn't make it any lower in quality.

Love my cast iron Buddha. Set it on a cool rock slab and it looks great. Far more substantial than plastic or resin composite. Larger than most Buddhas I've looked at. Time will tell if it corrects the feng shui. But it still looks good. Recommended.

Perfect sized little Buddha statue. Can easily be placed anywhere in the home. I love the simplicity of this little statue. I love the make of cast iron. I have cats that like to knock stuff off shelves.

While the Abbot is the perfect size and mostly nicely built, it is a shell and hollow inside. Also, my Abbot arrived cracked and with a chipped right arm (I will post photos) and the interior looks like it is made of plaster and not cast iron. Unfortunately this is being returned.

this was a gift for someone and they loved it! I loved it cecause it was so cute for a buddha. perfect small statuewith good weight!

This was a gift and the recipient loved it. It's great for outdoor gardens and will withstand heavy weathering. Product was shipped through FedEX, which was harder being delivered to an apartment without a buzzer, but that's on FedEX, not the company who sold the product - thanks again :)

The Buddha statuette has a nice weight to it.

Was smaller than I expected, but cute! My 18 month old grandson loves it!
