NOT a subzero quilt!
Wanted to like this quilt and to be fair the construction and quality of the materials are good. But I brought it specifically because it was a subzero option for wild camping. Even says 'you'll be toasty'.But on my first use in the Brecon the temperature was around 0c to at the lowest -3c. At these temperatures it was barely comfortable fully clothed with two pairs of thick merino hiking socks.I applaud the company for trying to produce a budget product in a world of silly expensive gear but just bite the bullet and list it with a real world spec.It is NOT a -10c Product. It's a great 0c plus spring/summer quilt. If you want a winter quilt save your money and go for a brand leader. Freezing on a mountain just isn't worth the risk.

Loft, what loft?
When I read the reveiws on this one thing kept repeating itself over and over again, how much this bag lofts up. I have only had it a few days and at the moment the temperature here is in the high seventies and low eighties so I can't yet tell if it will be good down to 15 degrees as advertised, what I can tell you is that the quilt sent to me has not lofted up and frankly looks a little flat. To be honest it really doesn't look the part at all especially when I compare it to some of my other bags. However I will give it the benefit of doubt and I will slowly test it as the temperatures drop off in the autumn. I hope that it turns out to have been a wise choice and not a waste of money but to me it doesn't look like it would keep me warm at 15 degrees Celsius never mind 15 degrees Fahrenheit, hope I am wrong, I will update this reveiw as I go

Excellent product, amazing customer service all the way from the USA..
I have done my due diligence in research on quilt camping and found that this brand has a good reputation in Canada and the United States. Also a big draw was the price, as most of the other competitors were sometimes double the price. So when I bought this, I said to myself, it'll be okay quality. How wrong was I, it's really well thought out, well made and too a high standard, plus the service department are amazing.. I have found very few things surprise me now a days, what a pleasant experience to buy something that exceeds my expectations and then I got quick and friendly advice to. "Thank you Noel "This is a brand I will look out for when I need kit...

Amazing customer service from the Paria Outdoor Products team
First things first, as someone has already mentioned in the review before, I wasnt holding my breath as I've never heard of the company before but throughout my experience I have been blown away. Thanks for the support Anne, Jennifer and Noel!I've ordered a few other products from Paria as one big purchase to test the system, the mats so far have been great! However the sleeping bag on first order seemed to have been let down by either long storage in compression sack or quality control.I have purchased the long version of the quilt and when I unpacked it, the first three baffles were stuffed well! However in the middle there just was not enough to go around no matter how much you fluffed it.I have contacted the Paria Outdoor Products team via email, this was saturday xmas build up week) and was amazed to receive a responce within a few hours, and a helpful responce as well. The team asked me to complete a few proceedures in a hope that the down is just clumped together. I have performed these and it didnt help. Its as if someone forgot to add enough down to the sections. The team have quickly arranged to have a replacement sent out and the replacement is what i expected and more at this price point.I hope the side by side images help see the quality difference and the fact that one was clearly a factory/storage error.Yes, there are a few design problems (like the elastic on the head end being in the middle thus its always in your face. Or the fact that there is no fabric flap on the foot end for the zip.Why the five stars then?Well to me it boils down to what do you expect at this price point?1. Customer service is excellent, and to me thats one of the most important aspects2. The quilt quality is decent enough, will it last me years and years of abuse? Only time will tell, but for the price I'd be happy to get 2 years from it!3. Its small and light weight for my needs4. The elastic in your face is also a design flaw on some of the more expensive quilts, so you cant really knock these guys down too much for that! If it Bothers you that much, its simple enough to modify yourself (and you aint doing that on a £500 quilt for example, yes those would need to be nailed for stuff like that)5. At this price point I cannot find anything like this for a quiltOverall, after the initial quality of down stuffing disapointment, I am happy. And knowing the fact that the emails actually get responded to is a bonus I didnt expect on a product at this price point. Jees, I struggle with RAB responding to me and my jackets are more expnsive than this quilt! If any buying advice I would give is this, reset your expectation compare the market and dont expect the same as £300, £500 price point quilts. If you do then you will be disapointed, but damn does this thing come in close to the £300 mark.

2nd strap?
Haven't used yet, but seems a good product, lofted nicely when removed from the bag, I seem to remember from the description there would be two pad straps which would be good but only comes with one, the second would be an improvementUpdate, used this for the first time, @ -2°c this was perfect, delighted, the popper button around the neck could do with being a little stronger as they opened a couple of times, I am a restless sleeper, which can be an issue.

Warm but design flawed.
I like this product, it is cheaper than many similar however with that it seems to have a couple of design flaws I cannot get past. Firstly around the neck where you can cinche it up tight the adjustment is in the centre. Didn't matter how I laid this was in my face, I have after only 1 night moved this myself to the outside. Now much better and similar to the foot box adjustment. Secondly the footbox zip is just awkward, it needs a small flap or something to cover it up on the inside when connected so you don't feel it at night. (Like all sleeping bags do even at low cost end) Also the zipper is double sided, although great for a sleeping bag on this it just makes it chunkier than it needs to be. (You can certainly feel it on your legs in the night)It is warm and over all impressed, just seems like these couple of design oversights make it not quite as good as the more expensive ones I have seen. Fixing these issues would certainly allow it to compete with the more expensive ones on the market for comfort.
