what are the dimensions for this item?

sorry, i gave them away. my hair is shoulder length and fine. they would not stay or bend. would suggest 1" x 7". for very long and thick hair.

Can they be used on dry hair and also how long to they have to be in your hair to get beach waves?

If you use them on dry hair of any kind, you will not get waves. Need to have damp NOT wet hair and probably product. Put them in and sleep with them overnight. It will take a 8-10 hours.
