Super easy to set up and use
Super easy to set up and use. It was smaller than I thought it would be. In fact maybe too small, smaller than a cell phone., it's quite portable and could easily get lost or taken.Used in on Mac and PC didn't need to format. Fast. Solid state.

Perfect solution for a mobile, x-platform encryption. I purchased the Apricorn Aegis Padlock six weeks ago. I've used it almost daily on Mac OS (Sierra) and Windows platforms without any problems.This is a solid product. While relatively expensive in terms of the amount of storage (480 GB SSD), the encryption technology, x-platform abilities and superb construction make it a reasonably priced component of my overall security and privacy needs.

Works as advertised!
Great performance for an encrypted drive. I get about 180MB/s transfer rate. The form factor is great too. Much smaller than I expected.

GOOD DEVICE, LOUSY CASE
The vulcanized rubber or whatever it is degrades and becomes a nasty, sticky piece of garbage you don't want to touch. Will never buy this product again. Fix your design...

Upload speed inconstancy
I am kind of deceived from an upload speed perpective. YES... It does have upload speed of 250Meg... but only sustain that speed for 14 Sec flat... then... it drops at zero for 42 Sec...Tried to upload about 200Gig of ISO's today from a very powerfull and state of the art workstation... and it took about an hour due to the 14/42sec gap..Download is much better... but still...
