World's Very Best Opera for Kids / Various

This is a GREAT CD! Both the children and my husband and I love it. We bought it as an introduction to opera for our homeschooled children, and never guessed we'd all enjoy it so much.All the tunes are ones you will probably recognize - but hearing the words that go with the music and hearing them in *English* is so helpful! It has been really fun to find out what these songs are really about.My kids and I often catch ourselves singing opera through the day now, which is really neat. It has helped build their understanding of music in many different ways, and has improved my oldest daughter's voice ability as she strives to keep up with the professional singers on the CD.The music is beautiful, the words are lovely and give meaning, and this whole CD is just exceptionally good entertainment!

The music is nice, the English isn't helpful because it's hard to understand the words within the music. Personally I'd prefer original languages since it really is too complex for the 7 & 4 year-olds I bought it for to be attracted to.

Love love love this. My kids and I sing this in the car. I've had to explain to them what the stories in the operas are - but that is a better conversation than most we have. It helps all of us that the songs are in English - as my Italian is limited to the three Ps - pizza, prada and prosecco.

My daughter and I we love this CD. Its definetely great introdiction to opera and creates appreciation for this art form for the children and adults alike.

Everyone in our family sings along. Definitely a lot better than other children's CDs! And teaches them good music.

One of our granddaughters (11 yrs.) old is interested in opera music when she goes to bed. This particular album was perfect for herand the entire family was also involved. Great for young children.

The title says worlds best opera but a few (2-3) of these opera I have never heard of. Wish there was a introduction before every piece.

Really good. Just as good for adults as children!
