Q: Are the three expandable?

They are not expandable, however they are very roomy and have a double zipper for extra security. I think that the expandable luggages are more vulnerable.

Q: Do these suitcases fit inside of each other for storage?

I bought all 3 sizes and they all fit one into the other, 19" to 24" and then the 24" into the 28". To fit them into each, the zipper cover that is within needs to remain unzipped. A non issue sine these zippered covers are to protect and keep contents in each side. Great luggage.
