None Dolls of The World The Princess Collection: Princess of Ancient Greece Barbie

Had this doll pop up in a search when my mother decided for us to start a brand name world-thened doll collection, and we both could not be happier than to have found this one here on Amazon. However, it was quite expensive at almost $60 for a plastic doll, but considering that this one is part of a collection, which I assume they no longer make, as well as the quality (based on the images and reviews here, as well as videos elsewhere), it was worth the purchase. I have personally always loved the Ancient Greece theme and decided to purchase this doll as the first in our collection. As a collector of Anime PVC statues, which tend to be a smaller scale, I am pleased with the size of this doll (never owned a Barbie doll before this), which measures about 13 inches tall including the top of its hair. While I have read some complaints elsewhere about the condition these boxes are usually in, the one I received was actually in good condition, more so considering that it is an original 2003-04 edition. Inside is included a stand for if one decides to keep it out of the box (we're leaving ours in, though), as well as a certificate of authenticity and some little passport. As far as the doll goes, it is in perfect mint condition and looks a lot better in person than it does in the picture. The paint job and design of the face in general are excellent, and the outfit, though simple in design, is gorgeous and made from very nice, shimmery material. The one thing that was puzzling, though, was that the pair of shoes that cane with the doll were basic white flats which is inconsistent with its Ancient Greece theme, but other than that, I have no complaints. Absolutely plan to collect a few more of these World edition collectibles in the near future.

Gorgeous. I love this entire collection. This Greek princess is my 2nd fav (the Egyptian princess of the Nile is my #1). Her dress appears more plain than some of the other dolls, but it's lovely fabric. Kind of a coppery metallic with sheer overlay. Her jewelry and hair are beautiful and I love her eyes. Great doll.

This is gorgeous! The box was a little messed up but I’m not buying it for some collectors item.

Overall, I have to say that the Princess of Ancient Greece is a lovely doll. I like her costume because it looks authentic. I do not like her hair because it looks as though her hair was cut to achieve her updo, which gives it a bit of a rough appearance. I would recommend this doll if you are interested in Ancient Greece, the Dolls of the World collection, or collectable Barbies.

The coloring of the dolls face different from body. Not sure if its supposed to look like that, but seemed odd and was noticeable.

The doll arrived in perfect shape and the box was undamaged and in mint condition. The doll is very lovely.
