Orbit Baby Car Seat Base G2, Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

We have the orbit base, stroller bottom, infant seat, toddler seat, skateboard attachment etc. this is the second orbit base I have purchased for our second car. It's great while you can use the base because that means you are still in infant carrier stage or rear facing- and you can swivel. The best feature about the orbit products is that you are not breaking your back getting your kid in and out of the seat in the car. You can just stick the seat in facing you and then turn it! It really helps in our SUV because I also have a toddler sitting on the other side in a stationary car seat and I don't like to put him in entering on the street. So quite often I turn my infant seat sideways, let him squeeze past my daughter and then turn her to rear facing position and go plug him in after he's hopped into his seat. I find it much safer and he is so conditioned to never walking/entering from the street now which really helps on Wilshire Blvd! I have mixed feelings about some of the orbit seats because I feel they run small width wise and my kids seem to outgrow them too fast (my son was out of the infant seat at 3 months because his shoulders were too wide) but the base is awesome for as long as you can use it. I found the car seat too heavy to keep moving on and off the base so we didn't do that much but the swivel factor is worth it and so is the infant carrier (for as log as your child fits). This new black base is quite sleek looking compared to the first generation orbit products I have and it seems easier to install than g1 as well. Secure lath system and the tightening turn lever is awesome.

I had struggled with several car seat before. They were wobbly and required the use of a strap attached from the back of the carseat to the bottom of one of the front seats in order to level it and keep it somewhat positioned. This orbit is fantastic, easily, solidly attaches, and adjusts without using a back strap.

The base is extremely well built. Instalation is a breeze and I've tried mounting it in different positions in my car; behind driver, behind passenger and in the middle. It's always extremely secured and does not move at all!

This base makes it very easy for us to transfer our new grandson between cars and it works amazingly well. No more having to be a contortionist to get our grandson in the carseat.

I bought it as a baby shower present. the mother had signed up on Amazon. She loves this what ever it is.

I love the the whole orbit baby system. Easy to use, easy on your back, green product, easy care. Just wish that the price tag wasn't as high. I bought 2 bases. One for my car and one for my husband's car. I like seeing that the carseat is locked once the red section disappears. Great idea!

Two bases because we have two cars and who is picking up and dropping off is always a toss up, but it's great-easy to install!

Big fan of the orbit system for ease of use. Very expensive but has worked out incredibly well for our family.
