ChefLandAluminum Multi-Purpose Scoop, 5-Ounce, Silver, Pack of 4

It's my own fault I guess - should have known better... I popped these aluminum scoops in the dishwasher to give them a quick cleaning once I received them - they came out completely oxidized. Had to scrub them with cleanser by hand to get all the oxidation off. Wish I would have bought stainless steel.Other than that I guess you could say the scoops are ok - thin metal but overall well constructed. As long as you don't expose them to elements which could oxidize aluminum they'll likely be ok for most usages.

These look very good and are the right size if you are using the glass canisters from Anchor. They barely fit in, the others I purchased did not. I took one star off because water if left to set on them---stains them so you MUST hand dry after washing immediately. They however, really look great and I really like them for the price. I like them much better than the VKTECH stainless steel ones I purchased.

I bought these primarily as utility scoops -- to transfer material from large containers into smaller ones -- ice melt from a garbage can into a sprinkler, dog food from a bin into bowls, etc., etc. At first, they seemed too light, but after a month of fairly heavy service, have held up well, and I'm pleased.

These "aluminum" scoops do exactly what I needed. A scoop for my flour and sugar containers, etc. and it's great that there are 4 pcs in each box. So inexpensive and handy that I bought 8 of them - just open the sugar container and it's sitting there being used.For those who are complaining about discoloration after the dishwasher - geez hand wash them with regular detergent and you won't have that issue... is hand washing something in occasion really that difficult? Oh my, some people!For those who say they are weak or bend easy, maybe your using them to mix concrete dig in your garden?Really I don't understand some people being so critical. You get 4 of these things for about $8 and if used as they should be there won't be a problem.I'm delighted and would highly recommend these.

to big for canisters but good for larger things like scooping dog food, ice, cat litter, etc. Also tarnished the first time I washed them

I use these scoopers in my kitch and they are a great quality have not noticed any peeling or cheapness to them.

As some folks found out the hard way, these scoops are aluminum. As such, they will oxidize in the dishwasher, just like any aluminum object. These scoops are a handy size for scooping coffee beans, rice, oats, etc. I've had mine for a few years now, and they've held up very well. If you take the time to hand wash and keep away from bleach and acids, they will stay nice and shiny. They are light in weight but durable.

They got black in the dish washer and it took me forever to clean them. Still not as shinny as when they arrived.

These are perfect scoops to use for my breakfast trolley. I have large ikea containers with 5 different cereals in on a trolley in my kitchen- it looks like a B&B! These are perfect size scoops to use.
