Excellent flavor!

For some reason it doesn't melt or mix with my hot coffee, so it forms clumps of cinnamon. If you don't plan to use it in a beverage though, it's wonderful otherwise and has a very rich flavor.

Wow. This stuff is amazing. After I opened it and the scent wafted up to my nose, I knew it would be potent, but it blew our expectations away. It's very sweet at first, then a rich cinnamon flavor hits, and as I began to say, "it doesn't have much heat," I felt a gentle burn on my tongue that wasn't overwhelming. I've had every kind of Penzeys and other brands, but this is as good or better than the best I've had. And the amazingly low price! It would be nice to know the country of origin, but who cares when it tastes this good. The package we got was very well sealed and has an expiration date over over two years out. I'll definitely use this up and order more before then!

Cassia is the type of cinnamon you want if you are trying to keep your blood sugar down I read (not that I have a problem, but figure every little bit helps my health), and this brand and type is so incredibly wonderful in scent and freshness from the Chinese type of cinnamon I've always bought from the grocery store that there is no comparison. This is just the best! Also, read that if you take this cassia style cinnamon with some honey it is what makes it most effective healthwise. Regardless, just the scent and freshness alone makes this cinnamon really wonderful! Love it and when I go thru this pound will buy it again.

There are a few varieties and many purveyors of cinnamon and each has a slightly different flavor and intensity. This one has a lot of flavor and that little bit of the heat that I always look for in cinnamon. Not overpowering, but definitely there.The product shipped promptly and arrived quickly. It is packaged in a re-seal-able bag and the bag is quite full when you first receive it. The first time you open the bag count on some of cinnamon escaping onto the counter or sink! You can either elect to keep the spice in its original bag or just find another jar to store it.I would buy this again.

The actual spices from this company are great and likely deserve 5 stars. However, when I finally got around to using them all 3 bags (2 cinnamon 1 ginger) that I purchased from this company were underweight at 15oz and 15.1oz I would expect a couple 10ths of variance, not a whole ounce. I had to go to the store to buy extra to complete my recipe.

We're really happy with this cinnamon! (So much so we burned through the first purchase and came back for more, in a bigger quantity.)One thing we instantly noticed was the stronger (& delicious) aroma when opening the package. Compared to the whatever-the-grocery-store-has-today variety, the aroma and taste is definitely superior!The paper based packaging is also appreciated as plastic recycling isn't always guaranteed depending on the type used.All around, we are happy with both price and quality! We'll buy again!
