Fender Select Precision Bass, Flame Maple Fingerboard - 2-Color Sunburst

like this bass a lot but it is not appreciably better than an American standard precision or an American Special precision.

I am writing this review as this bass deserves to have a 5 star review on Amazon. Even though a Fender American Standard P-bass is an amazing bass (its the one I own in fact), This bass is well worth th money if you have the extra cash. If I could exchange my standard for this I would.The mid-range is mosdef noticeable but the majority of differences in this is more comfort. The bass is lighter, the neck is quick and you can it's honestly easier to play. It reminds me of the Musicman Stingray's super low action with no buzzing or issues. I personally love that. It automatically gives you 10 times more confidence. My standard's action is low but these are as low as you can get YET there was no issues with fret buzz or anything else. my hands didn't get as tired as it would if I was playing mine. I was at the Guitar Center for an hour playing this beast and felt like i could go for another hour no problem.Now to be fair as ive said in the start, if you are strapped for cash but still want an American pbass, the Standard 4 string is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, you dont need to have the select to get an amazing bass. This is for those lucky bastards out there that has money to play with. I don't but would pick this up if I could.
