Book series is great
The packaging is mediocre and all of the books I ordered came slightly damaged. Not a lot, but since they are gifts it was disappointing.

morris masterpiece!
I'm not sure why "fingers" isn't getting much attention, but this is a masterpiece.. the best I've ever read from Lucky Luke. This issue has all the action from the Daltons and Sioux indians and from Luke's six shooter. But the real catch is the twisty nature of "fingers". It's not about his buttery fingers, but his "buttery" reasoning that twist the facts to convince you otherwise.I found this volume smartly written with good logic so all the pieces adds up. It's funny (as always) with more jokes coming from Jolly Jumper!

So-so post Goscinny Lucky Luke
This Lucky Luke volume is not too bad for a post-Goscinny story, but the plot is loose and virtually tension-free, and characterization is pretty perfunctory: 'Fingers' the magician appears out of nowhere (appropriate, perhaps?) and is not really given any personality or clear motivation beyond his compulsive prestidigitation and charm. Not a lot of funny moments. It might be OK for children, but you miss Goscinny's on-the-mark timing, plotting and gags. The English translation, as is common with this publisher, is again rather stiff and formal: a looser 'Old West' vernacular would have worked better.
