Crafting Personal Shrines: Using Photos, Mementos & Treasures to Create Artful Displays

I enjoyed looking through this book, once I'd finished it cover to cover I had quite a few ideas in mind and couldnt wait to get started on them!

The book gives a detailed description of the tools and supplies needed to make a variety of shrines. Then gives details for putting together your own personized creation. There are many inspiring examples in the pages. I haven't commenced on making my shrine, but will. Meanwhile I enjoy going through the book page by page and seeing the possibilities.

This is a fantastic guide! I love the artist and her instructions are superb. The examples, hers and from other artists, are inspiring and beautiful. A-plus work.

Informative, great pictures, would have liked more through directions whuch is why I haven't given the book five stars.

If you want to build boxes around 8.5” x 11” give or take a few inches, this is a very instructive book. I’ve nade some fun stuff based on this technique.

This book is great for learning a new art form. Easy to understand and follow.

Lots of shrines to look at, nice book.

I have several books on this subject and I thought this one would be a useful addition to my collectionI was mistaken, I found this book pedestrian and lacking any real insight or inspiration. I find the author dull and her style very boring and sameyThe first half of the book was ponderous and stilted It does get better in the second half where different artists explain their workThere are far. far better books on the subject, this one just wasnt for me!

I am an artist and this book inspired my group to create shrines. I love it, you look into it and get more ideas. Artists bounce of each other and this book is rubber. If you want more ideas get this book.
