Both of my cats needed help with their nails, and these clippers work great. . My 14-year-old guy does a good job keeping his front claws in order by using the various scratching posts around the house and the tree trunks outside. But his hind claws were getting pretty long and starting to interfere with his walking. I let him get nice and relaxed (but not asleep) and he let me clip those long nails. The clippers were easy to use and caused him NO distress. I also have a 4-month-old kitten whose sharp little claws were leaving holes everywhere--the furniture, my clothing, my arms! I also waited for him to get into a relaxed pre-sleep state and he let me do his front claws quite easily. The scissor-like design is easy to understand. They are a good size, work great, and at a wonderful price. I highly recommend them to anyone. If you are unsure how to clip your cat's nails, you can find lots of instructional videos on the internet that should help boost your confidence. These are the clippers I would recommend.

Wow! I am so excited! For the first time ever I cut my cat's claws using these clippers. I researched online for several days before I decided on this pair. The clippers are small which is great so kitty (Oscar) doesn't freak out when he sees me coming. They also are sharp and so easy to use. Simple is better because it doesn't take a lot of time to get the claw in position to cut. Since I'm new at this, I only took off the very sharp tips but they are blunt enough now not to inflict damage. Oscar was just waking from his nap on the bed with his legs to the side of him when I grabbed the clippers and while hubby held Oscar's paws for me, I clipped each nail. The guillotine clippers which I had before never worked for me because it took so long to get the nail positioned in the clipper, that by the time I was ready to squeeze the handle to cut, the opportunity was gone. It just was too cumbersome a process. These are perfect. I'm so glad I chose them out of all the styles and brands out there. :)

After I had -- once again -- slipped with the clumsy and large standard nail clippers on my cats, causing them to yowl in pain (and then cause me to yowl in pain from their shredded claws,) I knew I had to get a new pair of nail clippers if I wanted to keep my furniture and not harm my cats. I was quite happy to find these nail clippers: they're small and effective, while staying sharp enough to clip the claws with great speed-- and as anyone who knows cats, you need to be quick to keep up with their limited patience. The natural scissor feel is much more accurate than the silly "punch-card" nail trimmer I had before, allowing me to just slip the scissor onto the claw at the right place, then move it to the next claw before the cat can squirm away. Overall I am very happy with the product and would recommend it to any of you cat-lovers out there who do the moral thing and keep your cats clawed---but still want furniture in the house. There is one small downside, and I do hope the designers fix this in the next batch: The very tips of the scissors can catch on each other as the scissors are closing. You should bevel that contact point down at an angle to get the smoothest scissor action.

So I never leave reviews... However I really like these clippers. My cat is 3 years old and she recently went from an indoor/outdoor (mostly outdoor) cat to a strictly indoor cat due to a change in living situation. She is a tad bipolar and I knew she was going to be difficult about trying to trim her nails.. She recently has been scratching at the paint on the sides of the doors and damaging the walls. So I figured maybe her nails were too long and that was part of the issue. The first attempt my boyfriend held her between his arm and grabbed a foot and she tried to kill us.. Trying to trim just one nail was impossible because she just wouldn't stay still and was trying to squirm and hiss all over the place. After about ten minutes I got one paw done and decided to give her a break and try again later. The next day I decided to try again without my boyfriend's help. I wrapped her in a towel this time and just left her head and the one paw sticking out. This time I did the entire paw in less than a minute with very minimal squirming. I'm 99.9% positive its because of the clippers. The amount of pressure put on their nail is so much less than a usual guillotine type clippers I'm used to. I really love these clippers so far and really recommend them if your cat is a tad psycho like mine is. They're super easy to use and my cat is a known devil and she was totally chill about it once she realized it was quick and painless.

We had scissors style clippers for our cat, but lost them during a move. The only thing we found at local pet store were guillotine style clippers, so we bought them. Our cat hated them. Not that she loves getting her nails trimmed, but she tolerates it as long as it goes quickly. With the guillotine style, she pulled her paws away and struggled the entire time, and I was only able to trim one or two paws each time before I had to give up. I bought these clippers because of the reviews here and other comments and articles online that indicated that many cats seem not to like the guillotine style clippers. (Maybe just anecdotal evidence, but still.) These clippers are solid and easy to use. Much easier to use than the guillotine style, which are a little too big and bulky for my taste, and harder to line up the nail and ensure you're not cutting too much, at the wrong angle, etc. And the best part is that our cat was back to her normal behavior getting her nails trimmed-- no major struggles, no stress, no clawing. She still jumped off my lap afterwards and took a bath, but I got all her nails trimmed. So these clippers get the cat's seal of approval.

Great pair of Cat Nail Clippers. I purchased these for my new 10.5 week old kitten. My old trusty clippers that I have used on several of my cats over the last 15 years, were definitely not suitable for these little paws-just didn't cut effectively. The new clippers (as indicated by many of the comments) turned out to be very sharp and were able to handle the small paws of a small kitten without any problem. The bonus here if it were not enough that the clippers worked great... it was 1) the packaging which easily spells out how to use these (without guessing) along with diagrams; and 2) the direct communication you receive from the suppliers who without a doubt care about their product and the customer's satisfaction. Feel free to ask them anything - these Vets are eager to help you with your little one's nail grooming. It was a pleasure doing business with them, and I will definitely keep them in mind for future pet purchases. I would have included a picture demonstrating the clippers, but my wiggle worm was just not cooperative.

After using an old pair of rabbit nail clippers (which literally just squish the nail), I decided to search high and low to find a solid pair of nail clippers for my kitten. These are great clippers and vet approved! The fact that the clippers have scissor handles are mush easier to use than other clippers. The product itself works fantastic and cuts the nails clean. These are great to use on cats and small animals. I will admit that regular human nail clippers work as well, but these clippers have precision and accuracy. I recommend these to anyone who has a small animal or cat. My kitten is now very accustomed to getting his nails clipped and we can play without him scratching me. I have not tried these on my sheltie or my brothers pom, but I bet they will work just fine. I will update this review if I attempt to cut my dogs nails. All around, this is a fantastic product!

I was never so happy to find the KittyNails Cat & Small Pet Nail Clippers offered online. KittyNails is sharp, small and designed for a cat. The angled shape of the clipper makes it so much easier to reach my cats nails and cleanly clip them off. One of my on my cats is a fidgety kitty when having her nails cut and the time saved when using KittyNails on her makes it less stressful on her. Previously, I had owned a cat nail clipper almost identical to this product that I lost. I tried other clippers that were either the wrong design, to large or not sharp enough; causing splintering nails. I recommend KityNails Clippers to anyone who owns a cat. Please, if your kitty(s) are precious to you then, DO NOT DECLAW!!! Purchase this clipper. *On side note; these clippers can and do wear in a long period of time. what I did was sharpen, remove and replaced the part holding both halves together with a screw, nut and star washer.

Ich bin positiv überrascht ! Musste meiner Katze die Krallen kürzen und bin Anfänger darin, deshalb wollte ich nicht an der falschen Stelle sparen und habe mich für diese Modell entschieden. Diese Schere liegt super in der Hand und fühlt sich sehr wertig an. Nach meinen anfänglichen Befürchtungen zuviel der Kralle wegzuschneiden, merkte ich, daß man hier ganz intuitiv und sehr genau schneiden kann. Die Klinge ist super scharf, so dass man nichts quetscht und auch nicht viel Kraft aufwenden muss. Ich habe damit auch mehr Gefühl als mit einem Nagelknipser. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.
