PERFECT!
I spent a long time looking for products to practice dressing skills with my three year-old son. I didn't want to use dressing frames (bulky,) but I think having something they aren't wearing helps a lot for learning these skills faster. All of the boards I could find, had problems such as not starting the zipper or high price for few features or not sturdy enough. I was hesitant to get this due to limited number of reviews (there were only a few when I bought it,) but finally did. I highly recommend this product for helping your preschooler learn skills.1. Zipper owl - This was a huge selling point. Zipping and unzipping isn't that hard to learn on a regular coat, but the owl toy allows the child to practice starting the zipper which is tricky.2. Button owl - The buttons are a little small and a little hard. This is NOT a good first button toy, but it is a good intermediate step before clothing buttons. (The material is stiffer and it is not on the child.) My son used a home made button snake first, so this was a perfect level for him.3. Snap owl - These are too hard for my son to snap. We still have to do it together. I don't know if he has big enough fingers to do any snaps, so not sure if a better snap could be used.4. Tie owl - This is great for my son to learn about lacing. He is not ready for tying yet. I think it is not as good as a stiff shoe product for learning to tie, but I like that it allowed lacing and tying in the same product. Overall, it's good.Originally I wished there were four coats for just one owl, but my kid likes the family of owls. They don't take up that much space and they cover a lot of skills.I think the product could be improved by adding holes for the wings to come out. It would be better dressing practice and also make it so that the owl's jackets couldn't just slide off. (The jackets are tight enough that they don't slide off, but they can easily be pulled off.)The owls and jackets seemed sturdy enough for the purpose and looked appealing to my son (he loves owls). They aren't junk party favors, but they aren't heirloom organic cotton hand-woven toys either. They may or may not be sturdy enough to last years for center use - I can't tell, but definitely are suitable for household use.

These are the best for practicing fasteners!
I absolutely love these owls! As an OT working in peds I have bought many different toys to work on snaps, zippers, buttons, and lacing. I have tried dressing boards, dolls and puzzle boards. The children show very little interest in them and it's difficult for them to progress. But with the owls, they love them instantly. I call the owls mama, daddy brother and baby owl. I make owl sounds and tell them that the owls want to go to the park but need jackets, they are cold or they are hot. The kids really love dressing them. The colors are bright and colorful. A tip would be to add Velcro sticky tabs to each jacket or cut small slits for the wings because some kids will just pull the jackets off without fussing with fasteners. I didn't take off points for that issue because honestly it's the only way I've had kids happily enjoy playing and learning to use fasteners.

Good fine motor skill toys
Bought these to help my 3 and 5 year old kids with their fine motor skills. They are soft and cute animals. My only complaint is that the two matching parts are not tethered together. There snap buttons, buttons, strings to tie and a zipper. All the things kids should know how to use. My three year old doesn’t really understand any of these and would rather pull the “jacket” off and push it back on. He lies to carry them around. Hopefully the parts won’t get Speedtest and lost ance they aren’t attached. I’ll just have to make sure everything is out away when we are done learning how to use them or practicing. This good educational gift for my kids. Great toy for my son who needs more practice with his find motor skills.

Montessori: Learn to dress
This is the perfect set for anyone who wants their toddler to learn how to dress themselves! The snap on buttons aren’t too hard or easy to snap on and off. The regular buttons have the perfect sized holes to button and unbutton. And the zipper is perfect to zip on and off. I highly recommend this set. I’ve tried a different set that I’d bought from Amazon before and had to return because the snap buttons were to hard, even for adults, to snap on and off. The regular button holes weren’t big enough for little toddlers to practice button and unbutton with. This is a MUST BUY!

They're a hit!
I bought this owl set for a place I volunteer for that provides OT for kids with disabilities. These have been very useful and the kids love them!

Snaps broke on first day but kid still loves it
Kid was so excited about this. Practiced snaps, buttons and zippers all afternoon. Laces a bit hard for 4yo still but he used like sewing practice. He snuggles with each owl and loves them. He has named them plum, lemon drop, lime and tomato. He balled when he could not find tomato before bed (it had gotten under the sheet). My only complaint is the one with the snaps has already started to come apart. So the lack of sturdiness reduced rating and value for me.
