Nice enough read.
Being an editor and author, the first things I look for are typos, head-hopping, and just bad writing. Thankfully, Ms. Lea had few typos and her writing flows well. I enjoyed it to a point. I like sex in a book, but this was a little too wall-to-wall sex. I enjoyed the feisty heroine, but she did moon after her ex too long. There really wasn't much of a plot, but it was meant to be a light-hearted story, so I guess it worked. The heroine certainly seemed rather lacking in morals, but the author tried to drag it from the brink and partially succeeded. The hero was hot, though, and fell for her a bit too fast to make it believable. But the book was free, so I can't complain.

Seductively sexy read with lots of sprinkles of humor
First time reading from this author and loved this book! From the very first paragraphs you learn about Nick & Bailey, who are longtime friends and at least from what the book indicates they are in a consensual, relationship arrangement as sex buddies for 1 weekend a month which has lasted for at least 5 years!! Bailey has high hopes that one day her best friend Nick will one day marry her. Instead Nick announces he is getting married to a high society chick named Ainsley, in order to unite both families together especially in business. Bailey is devastated and does not wish to continue on with their arrangement but Nick (who is a complete worthless cad--but I understand this is a character, so I must keep an open mind) advises they can continue their arrangement after he is married a few months in, but Bailey cannot accept this.Enter Hunter Green who we secretly find out that is Nick's stepbrother thru marriage and he has been asked to be a groomsman because one of them in his party dropped out, even though Nick & Hunter despise each other, he does it for his mother.Hunter & Bailey then "accidentally" (or maybe purposely depending on your point of view) meet each other soon thereafter in a bar, at the hotel they are both staying at and it's INSTANT chemistry! Bailey is drowning in her sorrows at a lost love moving on and Hunter is just having a really bad day with everything going on at work. They both give each other nicknames of "Irish" (Hunter) & "Blue" (Bailey) to keep an element of surprise about each other. But what started out as harmless tequila shots and flirtatious banter turns into a hot, steamy night intended to be a 1-night stand, but Hunter wants to see her again and leaves his info telling "Blue" if she wants to know more, she needs to call him. Bailey considers it, but then decides not to lead him on even though she really likes him.Flash forward almost 6 months later...Hunter has been crazy trying to find his Blue and accepts he may never hear from her again. Unbeknownst to each other, Bailey is the PR Manager for one of her biggest clients, Green Aviation, the company which so happens to be where Hunter is the CEO...they have both been unknowingly corresponding with each other by their REAL names without every actually meeting. Well one day Hunter decides to head out for his brother's wedding and decides to offer Bailey first class tickets to enjoy on her trip (which she just so happens to be going in the same direction as he does)...they create a plan with Hunter as Bailey's "date" to the wedding in order to get Nick jealous so that he leaves Ainsley and what ensues for the rest of the book (cause it's too long to tell you and it's so much better reading it) is so comical, sexy, seductive, heartwarming and heartbreaking before you get to the happy ending...the mistakes, the missteps, the understanding and journey for Hunter & Bailey to finally find their way to true love gives you the warm fuzzies...There are so many other characters in this book that really provide a lot of comic relief and I'm not sure whether or not the author intended to do that. I honestly felt like I was reading it as a rom-com more so than anything else and it was refreshing! (Some parts weren't of course, but it was like reading in some ways, My Best Friend's Wedding mixed in with a dash of The Proposal...I dunno, maybe it's just me) Read on with this delightful story...you definitively won't be disappointed!

Could be a good book if the heroine was more likable...
I love these types of stories where the hero falls in love with the girl that is going after someone else. However, I felt like Bailey was very air headed.SPOILER ALERT...She kept saying how much in love she was with Nick and didn’t have any morals at all. She was okay sleeping around with random men (the author made it sound like enjoying sex was a good enough excuse for Bailey jumping into bed with Hunter who happened to be the first guy she met after her break up with Nick) and between that, the fact that she was willing to keep sleeping with Nick after he got married, and her constant drinking made her seem pretty annoying. Why Hunter would stick around her is honestly anyone’s guess. After Hunter and her slept together for the second time I stopped reading the story because honestly I didn’t like Bailey at all. I wish the author had made her more likable because this could have been a really great book.

Bailey (Blue) & Hunter (Irish)
Bailey is drowning her sorrows at a hotel bar when she’s joined by Aviation billionaire Hunter. It’s lust at first sight for these two. Bailey is attracted to the tall, bearded, tattooed man with green eyes, calling him Irish. Hunter is drawn to her rose gold hair, sassy attitude and nicknames her Blue. They end the night in his hotel room knowing the score of no real names and one night. Irish, being the gentleman leaves her a note and contact info., promising to reveal his real name, but she has to call. She doesn’t.Hunter’s aviation company is expanding and an invitation is extended to the Public Relations firm that’s handling his business. He has a family wedding to attend and opts to take one of his new flights. As he enters the private waiting area, he spots a woman with rose gold hair and hopes its his lucky day. Is it his Blue?Blue & Irish have passion, instant attraction and lust brings out their animal instincts. The scenes are descriptive, graphic and hot & heavy!! These two burn up the pages.I appreciated the real attributes of Bailey - her drive to be better than mediocre despite not having parental encouragement; insecurities of not being good enough despite taking chances: feeling alone but open to listen others and recognizing that she does have support. Her growth throughout this story is relatable. One aspect of this book that I did not like was Nick cheating on his wife and his attitude about having a mistress. It was a huge turn-off and is comes across as unimaginative. It’s as if the author couldn’t come up with any other reasons to make him the bad guy. It’s not an original concept and drags this story down. The Epilogue introduces the other billionaires that are part of this interconnected series. This is a stand-alone book, but additional billionaires have stories and I’d guess that characters will make appearances throughout the five or so books. The three stars are for a good story. Erotic Romance, Adult Contemporary Romance are popular genres and there are a lot of great writers and abundance of books to choose from. I don’t plan on reading the other books in this series right away, but might in the future.

Great read 👍
I enjoyed this story. Bailey has had a f*** buddy arrangement with Nick for 5 years but she’s secretly holding out for them to get together some day. She’s devastated when he tells her he’s getting married.. although he says once he’s married and everything’s settled down they can carry on with the arrangement - yeah, that’s the kind of guy he is! She goes to a bar to drown he sorrows and meets Hunter. There’s instant attraction between them. They spend a hot night together but he has to catch a plane in the morning and get back to business. He leaves a note with his number saying he’d like to see her again but she is just seeing it as a very good rebound fling as she still loves Nick. They meet again 5months later when she’s on the way to try to stop Nick’s wedding. Hunter’s there because turns out he’s Nick’s stepbrother (they don’t get along). He comes up with a plan that they will have a fake relationship to make Nick jealous, so he will see what he’s missing and want Bailey back.. but really he’s hoping that Bailey will see that he’s the better choice and bin this thing with Nick off ( you will be wanting to shake her as it’s clear as day that Nick is a complete 🔔 🔚 and Hunter is awesome!!) They have hot chemistry and things get steamy between them again. It keeps you on edge as things are going so well between them.. was thinking what’s going to happen with the f**kwit to mess it up. Pleasingly Bailey is all for Hunter once she decides and it’s a misunderstanding that has things temporarily going tits up.. phew!

A Steamy Love Story
Emma Lea is a new author to me and I came across The Billionaire Stepbrother for free on Kindle. I'm so glad I downloaded this book as I loved the story from beginning to end. I know some readers won't agree with some of the decisions Bailey made, but I could see that she just wasn't ready to give up on her love for Nick. However, she made the right decisions in the end, and I'm so glad that she got the love she deserved.Bailey and Hunter are so hot as a couple, and their scenes are some of my favourites, especially when they're on the plane together as you can feel the sexual tension between them, but we also get to see that Hunter already cares for her - this scene ‘has all the feels’. Plus we get to see them start to put the dots together and figure out that they already know each other. The Young Billionaires is a series I want to consume but never finish. I can't get enough of the addictive characters and storylines. In fact, I've already read book 2, The Billionaire Daddy, and will be downloading the others as soon as I have the money. Emma Lea is clearly a very talented author who knows exactly how to write a steamy love story. I wish I had discovered her sooner!

Didn't grip me.
Couldn't get into the book, not the authors fault, it was well written, good detail etc, I just couldn't get into it my self, didn't particularly like the story, it just wasn't for me, I like books that grip me from the first few pages, you could say I'm fussy.
