Enough copy to challenge early readers
Lily receives a doll she names Miss Kelly Kay for her third birthday and then promptly loses her. She spends most of the rest of the book looking for the doll in different scenes around her house. Rhyming elements sometimes creep into the prose. The plot is simple so the illustrations take center stage.Shalvashvili’s artwork is bold and striking, with large background details and rich swatches of color. Patterns appear on clothes, upholstery, toys and the girls’ wavy hair, all painted in traditional watercolors. There are interesting items to examine on every page, from lattice-topped cherry pies to a bunny’s underpants, and the hominess is reminiscent of Holly Hobby. The mystery in Where is Lily’s Miss Kelly Kay? is quickly resolved and there is no lesson to learn. Instead, the story is a pleasant walk through a young girl’s life in a sweet, cozy atmosphere. At the 99-cent price point, there’s enough copy to challenge new readers and the book would fit nicely in the digital library of a child who loves dolls, toys and tea parties.

Good series of books
My niece loves the first 3 books in this series. This 4th book is our least favorite because the illustrations are too close up. Like they are right in your face. After we read the other books we also go thru them and search out all the items-bears, dolls and other toys that are partially hidden and have a lot of fun that way before we read them again. This book won't be as much fun. But still a good book.

Cute story and insanely cute illustrations
Bought this to do a "mystery" book report. It isn't exactly a mystery in the sense of finding clues and figuring out where the doll went, but my little girl just loved it. We must have read it five times in the first week. Illustrations are terribly cute and girly and the story line -- favorite doll lost -- was immediately relevant and important for my daughter. We'll definitely be getting another Lily Lemon Blossom book!

Lily Lemon Blossom Where is Lily's Miss Kelly Kay?
I bought this book for several reasons. My granddaughter's name is Lilly, (she is 5) kids love books with their name in them.My Lilly can never find anything because she doesn't put her things away, so I thought this would be a good lesson book for her.The pictures are really great. We buy all Lily Lemon Blossom books because they have all been wonderful.I have read this book to Lilly several times. She chooses which books we read and she really likes this one.

Miss Kelly Kay
My 6 yr old niece liked it very much. She read the whole book to me. And when she would get stuck on a certain word all she did was look at the picture to guide her to what the word was.

It was a very nice book but Barbara could of made the book a bit more longer because it only took me 40 secs to read the hole book that is just a tip for your next book

The images are really dull in terms of colour
These books do not appear to be professionally published. The images are really dull in terms of colour, and the writing is bad. It is suppose to rhyme, but is not formatted in a poetry style. Instead the sentences run together in small paragraphs. This makes it difficult to read with any sort of poetic rhythm. The writing itself sounds amateurish as well. I feel there was no proofing, or editing done on this book.I'm really disappointed with this purchase. Hopefully my daughter will like it.

My 2yo daughter loves this story. I like reading it. The rhyming and flow of the book make it fun. The illustrations are lovely
