It does work well, and it does keep from having the hotspot time out after 2 hours. However, sprint will still kick it off if there is not data exchange or if it hasn't moved in 24 hours. I use it for internet in the RV and really it was well worth the money vs using the phone hotspot or overage charges. It will time out, and you will have to unplug it. Don't expect a miracle, but it does what it says. Research before you decide it's for you, but it was for me.

I like how the cord lights up so I know it's getting electricity. However, it's a bit cheaply made. The cord is glued into the adapter piece, so be careful not to tug on it. I had to make this purchase because the cord FELL out of the last one that I bought. No tugging, the cord just came out of it when I picked it up. Also, it does not come with a wall adapter, so you have to purchase one or use the one from your phone.

So far its a step above. It looks physically the same on the exterior, but theyve reinforced some connectors and i havent managed to have a loose cable yet. Ive tested the second version of the product for over 70 hours so far, from using it while kept in a bag to letting it just sit around in my car as im a passenger. I havent experienced power drains, lost connections, etc. So far. Along with the issue of durability being risen at a much higher regard.

5 month UpdateI have had this adapter for my Sprint Drive since February. For the most part it has worked just fine for my needs, on occasioan I would have to reinsert the device into my car obd, reset the device with a paperclip, unplug the device for a few hours, all not a big deal to me in my situation. However, starting this past couple of weeks, the device hardly works at all anymore. The Sprint Drive app stats to move your vehicle 15 meters or more. I am afraid Sprint is no longer allowing the sprint drive to be used in this fashion, therefore I would not recommend this product.Unboxed, plugged sprint drive in, powered Peralta adapter up via provided usb cable. Works flawlessly right out of the box. Been connected uninterrupted for days.I did decide to place the setup on top a usb fan to keep cool since it does not have a chance to on its own and does get fairly warm to touch.

Update ...still working greatUpdate...had a lil problem with overheating but attached a small computer fan to it. Now it works great. I have it on constantly and it hasn't dropped signal for 5 days or so. This device has made life in a trailer a lot better. My entire town burned down and I have many friends and family also living in trailers. I have recommended this item to all of them.

There were no directions with this item. Couldn’t figure out how to install it. The we site gave no information. Wrote email for help; no one answered it. Company said there was a fitting chart. Couldn’t find w/o a lot of guessing.

Great product, priceless for being connected outside the vehicle, in a tent, at the boat dock with a lap top...carries the streaming of movies just fine. ATS-Denver
