Excellent fridge after some tweaks
I received this NewAir beverage fridge on 01/22/23 and was very impressed with its construction and features (digital thermostat, capacity, etc). I initially placed this in my living room roughly 6 feet from my couch. As many others have mentioned, I quickly noticed the odd "warbling" and/or pigeon sounds this unit would make. It was extremely noticeable and hard to ignore. Additionally, I noticed that it wasn't maintaining a constant temperature, despite my following all of the instructions for first use. For context, I also have a 2 tap kegerator in my living room that is roughly the same size and it barely makes a peep. After messing with the feet and trying to level it properly, I grew frustrated and figured that I would just have to live with the annoying sound that would occur almost every 20 minutes or so. The other day, however, it dawned on me that my placement of the unit wasn't ideal. I had placed it in front of a window and next to my balcony door, which I tend to keep open when it's nice out. The constant sunlight and outdoor temps were probably messing with this unit, I hypothesized. By simply moving the unit from the window and into a corner of the room, almost immediately the noises stopped! The fridge also started keeping a constant temperature, much to my delight. Additionally, I purchased a small stand to place the unit onto, since it helps airflow and raises the unit a few inches off the ground (easier for stocking). I'm convinced that moving it away from a constant source of sunlight/outdoor air made all the difference. The stand has most likely also helped, since now it is super quiet and runs perfectly. To anyone having these issues - be sure to check where you have it located and consider putting it on a stand (which makes it easier to level, as well). All in all, after these minor tweaks, this fridge has been an excellent purchase!

Finally! A fridge that keeps beer frosty cold.
Most beverage fridges only go down to 34. We like our drinks icy cold. This one does it! We have it set on 27 and it’s perfect (have not checked to see how accurate that is). It arrived in pristine condition (thank you UPS). After set up, We waited the suggested 24 hours before plugging in. Many have commented that it is loud. Ours is not at all, but it does set on a tile floor and I got it leveled and made sure all supports we solidly setting on the floor. I’m thinking if there is any vibration, maybe that could cause the noise people complain about, but maybe I just got lucky. I do love this little fridge. Yes, it is pricy but well worth it to us.

Very nice little fridge for drinks
It tends to frost up on the inside back wall if you have it really full, which they do warn about. Other than that, it is absolutely perfect. Love it. It keeps everything very cold, and it does it very quietly. It is well-built and looks nice.

Only lasts a couple of years.
The fridge was bought a little over 2 years ago and we're now getting an F1 error code. This is apparently a common problem with this model. On Amazon, Best Buy, and the NewAir website, many reviews mention this F1 issue. After tracking down a customer service number, I followed their advice did an unplug and reset for 24 hours and it is still broken/not cooling. The fridge did work pretty well for most of the time. I wish the temp got down lower, but 37 is sufficient. I liked the shelves, and the look, and the kids enjoyed playing with the light colors. However, it's VERY frustrating that the fridge was so expensive, and it's already broken. Additionally, there were no help guides on the Newair website, so I had to track down the customer service number and call.

The Grated metal shelves and noise are annoying
I like the temperature control and that it chills beverages fast when in Party Mode where it gets down to 23 degress F. When the cooler turns on it makes a whining noise like something taking off with a doppler affect. Filling a metal shelf with cans of soda it slightly sags and the front cans slide forward since the shelf is supported on its sides and back. The front then sags and it is difficult to keeps cans from sliding. I am having some glass shelves made for it. When added to the cost, the unit price becomes including glass shelves is a bit too high. Since it is a glass foor the door itself holds no storage as a refrigerator does does. Also one can remove shelves but there is no height adjustment for the shelves. The go in the slots in the unit wall and there no xtra slots to slide them in. The fit where they fir or they are not used. They cannot be moved up or down a notch. The best thing is it gets stuff Ice cold. Many refrigerators only go down to 34. That's luke warm for beer.

Versatile beer fridge with consistent temp
This review will be geared toward the craft beer fan using this to store/cellar their collection. First, It should obviously be noted that beers come in all sizes, so the multiple slats for the 5 shelves is very nice and the shelving seems very sturdy. I've found that if you intend to use this for up to 750 ml bottles and mostly pint size cans, you're going to only use 3 shelves. It's best to use the bottom and top for the pints and middle for the bigger bottles to maximize space. In my picture, I have about 25 bottles in the middle shelf. With it completely filled, I have a mixture of about 60 cans/bottles. I'd imagine most beer serious beer fans will have bottles so these will take up a lot of room, so average capacity will be half the advertised total with 12 oz cans. Secondly, concerning temperature, the manual knob keeps things very consistent. I keep mine at a cellar temperature of 45-50 degrees, which on the knob is about between 3 and 4. Would have been great if it had a digital gauge but it's easy enough to buy one for inside. All said, this is a great buy and quite a unique piece.

Can get below freezing
This thing can get down to 29'F. I have had it for awhile and the compressor seems like it is breaking in just fine. At first temps were good to get to 40' but after 6 months it is fantastic! I defrost it once a week for a day cause I am away, and the sides do get pretty warm at times, but a small fan pulling the heat away and all is well. Looks like I will have to start turning it down to keep it above freezing level.

A solid choice, very quiet, cools well
The Good: A lot! Delivery excellent, packing excellent, condition of unit was excellent. It has stylish design and looks great in my bar. The shelves are wire but are built to support a lot of weight. You can load the shelf with glass or cans of soda and it doesn't bow. Also the shelves slide out about 1/4 of the way which makes stocking it easier. Its VERY quiet, you barely know its running unless you're right up on it. It holds A LOT. I loaded it up with cans, bottles, big bottles, whatever. Wine bottles fit nicely anywhere laying down, keep all my BIG bottles of mixers, champagne etc, on the bottom shelf and they fit really nice. Cooling: It does pretty much what it says. It cools the bottom two shelves pretty close to the max temp: 37 degrees, checked with my infrared gun as seen in pics. The temperature seems to increase considerably towards the top of the fridge, with the higher shelves being in the mid-40's. But... I noticed that the temperature of food on the doors and higher up in my $3000 Samsung fridge do the same thing, so I give this a B+. I just keep the beers and sodas closer to the bottom because I like those super cold, and keep the mixers and things I'm going to add ice to anyway on the top. It breathes from the front so it doesn't get hot on top and sides. I have this unit very tightly enclosed on the sides and only about 3/4" on the top, maybe 1.5 - 2" in the back and I don't feel any heat build up in the enclosure. Solid and appears well built and sturdy, also it has reasonable energy efficiency. The Bad: The light could use a little improvement. Its a nice color selectable LED, but If you have your fridge tightly packed with drinks the light doesn't really go past the first shelf or two. As noted above, the temperature fluctuates quite a bit on the upper shelves. Its not cheap but I think it was worth every bit of what I paid if it lasts 10 years. It only has a 1 year warranty, which is pretty crappy for a thousand dollar appliance. The Ugly: None that I can find so far. Its a great little fridge and I'm really happy with my purchase. Tip: I gave the fridge a little tilt forward by raising the back feet a bit so everything rolls to the front as I use it. Its hard to get your hands between the shelves. 1 Year Update: I've had the fridge one year and I found the ugly. The call this a 224 can fridge, but if you load it completely full of cans, especially in the back of the fridge, the coils WILL freeze up on you. See the picture I added of the giant block of ice that built up on the fridge coils. This will cause the fridge to appear to not be cooling correctly anymore because the ice buildup throws off the thermostat, so when you see reviews that say after 6 months it doesn't get below 45, this is why. The fridge now needs to be completely defrosted, which coincidentally, there are no instructions for in the manual. But after speaking with customer service they told me there should be 4 inches of space in the back and you can't "overload" it or it will freeze up, but of course then it doesn't really hold 224 cans right? Also, he said it should be defrosted every six months although the manual makes no mention of this or how to defrost it. After unloading it, taking the fridge apart, defrosting for 24 hours and putting back together it seems to be working again. I think for the money the design isn't too great. Why would you say it holds 224 cans but then tell customers, well you can't put all those cans in it or it will break? Back down to 3 stars from original 5 star review

Best beer fridge on the market.
After weeks of research I finally decided on this fridge and very happy I did. It is the coldest on the market. I set ours to 28 degrees which is perfect for beers. Pop will freeze and explode so don't do that. Buy a decent drip tray for it as well. Ours froze up after maybe 18 months and rather than take it outside and defrost it, I did that inside which was a mistake.

Do not buy Newair products
My fridge worked perfectly for six months before it suddenly stopped working. Although the appliance is still under warranty, Newair is asking me to pay $775 for shipping costs to replace the faulty product. This is unreasonable, given the circumstances. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Newair products to anyone due to their poor customer service.

Fridge works very well, cools the beers to -2 - -5F in couple hours and holds them in that range.
What I disliked is the shipping, was very late at delivery, company held it so long without updates in tracking and I can see why, very damaged, punctured a hold in side through the box and through the skin and into the foam insulation, also dropped that couldn’t get door open all the way, take a while but straightened the door out and will likely just tape over the big hole in the side. This is my second Newair mini beer frosting fridge through Amazon, the first one arrived perfect and this second one just a horror story from overdue late arrival and damaged that bad, don’t get CEVA logistics to ship anything for you, they don’t give updated tracking, then leave it on my deck without me seeing it. I would’ve never accepted this delivery if I’d have seen it like this. Now because the return would almost as bad and this isn’t on sale anymore I’m not gonna return as I was going too. I’ll put tape on the skin and straighten out the door seals.
