Cute Flip Flap Swing Solar Flower-green

The product I got was not an official Flip Flap (made in Japan) but was a cheap chinese knockoff. It didn't say Flip Flap on it, the flower looked really crappy and was missing paint and scratched up. It wasn't even the same color as advertised on Amazon. These chinese knockoffs do not move realistically like the Flip Flaps, but only move up and down. Thanks for wasting my time.

Product arrived in bubble wrapped envelope. Did not work, when I shook it, I could hear something rattling around inside. I decided to attempt a fix instead of ordering a replacement. What I found was:One of the magnets on the swing arm of one of the leafs had come loose. I was able to reattach.The linkage between the two leaves was intact, but had come loose. I was able to reattach.The leaves and flower are sit on small rockers that rest in curved slots on either side. The rockers for the leaves were out of position. I was able to rest them back into the tracks.It now works very well. :-)However, my wife is planning to mount this cute little thing in the back window of her car. I've got to wonder what's going to happen when she hits her first speed bump or pothole in the road....The problem doesn't appear to be related to shipping, it's more of a design problem, it's just really fragile.

Everyone in the area has one of these solar flowers so I set out to find out where they were getting them. Turns out it was the Dollar Tree, but they were fresh out! And not planning on restocking for a couple months. I coincidentally received an Amazon gift card for $5 and managed to find Flip Flap solar flowers! I bought the rose pink flower and I love it! I glued a piece of felt onto the bottom and attached it to the console above the rear seats in my car with a piece of velcro. So every time I head to work, I see this little guy bobbing in the background.I ordered a second one! But not through this dealer, I ordered an orange Flip Flap solar flower from another dealer and I will try to collect them all!

While this adorable flower brightens my day when it is flip-flapping, it does take direct sun light.I thought well maybe someone had tint in the windows what previously stated this.On cloudy days, this flower will not move. In door lights do not make it dance either.I thought it was broken when I opened the package. However you do need to assemble it by putting the flower in a hole. So it was all good.For the price, it is a little bit of joy that I think was well worth it.

I love this little solar powered flower. It worked great for quite a while.I slammed on my brakes one day and it went flying off my dashboard to my window and did not work quite as well after that, but it did hit pretty hard. I tried to still keep it on the dash, but at that point the sticky surface has been comprimised.The color was also slightly off, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

This summer I went on a road trip and when I was in Canada, I saw this cute flower on the dash of a Jeep and I thought it was so cute that I wanted to purchase one when I got back home. I bought this for my Suzuki Sidekick, and I mounted it on the middle of my dashboard, by using a plastic lid off of an 16.9oz Eco Arrowhead water bottle, I flipped the lid upside down at the base of the flower pot and added a piece of double sided sticky foam tape. The benefit is that you can spin the flower around if you wanted to and all you do to remove it is by taking off your double sided sticky tape.

First the bubble packing was open. The flower was pink but the pot was blue. Not what was represented. I put it under the light and nothing. Let is sit under the light for 10 minutes. Still nothing. Decided to go outside in the sun. I live in Florida so I know the sun is strong enough. Still nothing. Am sending back. Really disappointing, had been looking forward to this as I couldn't find one at the stores this time of year. Oh well, I guess I should have looked for one that was a little more expensive.

I got this for my mother as a late Mother's Day gift. I say late because I didn't order it ahead of time, and because it comes from over seas. Took about two weeks to get here.Now, this thing is solar paneled. It will not work with artificial light. Also, it will not hold a charge. It must be in the direct sunlight at all times to work. So if your desk/office doesn't have any sunlight, it won't move. Also, it does make a little sound when it moves, but it's not too noticeable.The leaves move up and down and the flower wags to the left and right.How long it will last, I don't know. It was pretty cheap, so I don't expect too much.My mother finds it very cute. Although next year, I'm going to find one that either sings, or can hold a charge (maybe battery powered). Doing both would be awesome.
