This is the 3rd or 4th Haloware/Halowave machine and it’s quality has been consistent. At 79 we are pretty set in our menus so now use this mainly for roast potatoes, Aunt Bessie’s frozen or home par boiled only take 20 minutes with Yorkshire puds on top for last 4 minutes. Also frozen jacket potatoes after first doing in microwave for 8 minutes then finishing off in Halowave gives fluffy inside and lovely crispy skin. It is essential to clean inside lid and metal that covers heating ring after each use. I don’t find the new plastic basket stops light and heat coming out any less than before. Another case of it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

I love jml halogen ovens, this is my second they are great they have a clean setting, just add a little hot soapy water and put on for 5 minutes, empty finish off with a cloth. Saves heating a big oven just to cook a few bits and you can see it cooking great for roasts just set temperature and time drop the handle and it’s offI did have a cheap one it only lasted 6 months this one is a lot better

Have used various makes of halogen ovens over many years. This one is good. The only thing which is a little annoying is that the timer cannot be adjusted down as well as up - you have to wait for it to return to zero and then set a shorter time for cooking. I like to adjust times as necessary while the food cooks. However, with patience, you can work around it.I chose this model because I saw from one of the answers to questions that it is possible to purchase a replacement halogen tube. They do stop working over time and it would be cheaper and more environmentally friendly to replace that instead of purchasing a whole new machine.

I ordered this Halogen oven the day my one conked out. It was the bulb that went. As I use it every day, it was important to me to get a replacement as soon as possible. I was only without it for just over a day. It does seem a waste to keep buying a complete oven when it is only the bulb that blows. I did phone JML and asked if it was possible to just buy parts, but I was told that only the whole thing could be bought. It does say in the leaflet that came with the new oven, that a new bulb could be replaced, however.

We like our new halogen. The only thing we would have liked on it is a hinged lid. We had a hinged lid on our old one. We will have to get a stand for it when we can find one..

This is my first Halowave. I bought this as it is extremely difficult to change the halogen element on other designs. The Halowave element can be changed in minutes. Having a hinged lid would make it perfect but using the stand for the Halowave turns out to be straightforward. I have removed the standard oven from my kitchen as the halogen oven does the same function but much better and quicker. My halogen oven makes the best roast pork ever. Wonderful crackling. Sausages, bacon etc. I use it every single day.
