CamelBakEddy+ Replacement Cap and Straw for Eddy+ Bottles, Black

Fits a Nalgene bottle perfectly! Completely water-tight seal, easy to clean, good quality materials that seem as durable as the Nalgene it's on. Would buy again with no hesitation, but this feels like a lifetime purchase.

Perfect fit! The straw was a little long but I just cut off the end with some scissors and it works like a charm!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Already had a camelback water bottle but no top, so wanted a top & straw to fit it. Sticking with the same brand seemed most likely to fit properly, not leak, & be of good quality. And indeed it was all those things & I now use the water bottle every day.

I wanted a bite valve lid for my Summit bottle by Simple Modern and went on the hunt for one that might fit since SM doesn't make one. This lid turned out to be almost perfect. It's a bit of a tight fit to screw on and may eventually strip the lid inside, but once it's on it doesn't leak and has worked great for daily use over 4 weeks so far. I haven't had any issues with the opening the in the bite valve being sealed or leaking anywhere like some reviews state, however I don't pack my bottle in a bag or lay it on its side ever so it still may not be watertight.If you plan to use it with a Simple Modern bottle, just know the straw length is a bit too short for the taller bottles (22oz, 40oz, 84 oz) so I have about 2 inches of water left in the bottle once the straw no longer reaches and I need to refill. I looked into just getting Camelbak Eddy+ bottle, but they don't offer nearly as many patterns and colors as other brands like SM. I also see that they offer a longer straw for the old version of the Eddy that would solve the length issue with mine, but I don't think those straws fit these lids.Bottom line: If you're looking for a good bite valve lid for a standard flask bottle of another brand with a 2.25 mouth opening, I highly recommend trying this one. I can't speak to the leakproof qualities, but the bite valve has worked without issue for me.

I have an old 3/4 liter Camelbak Eddy water bottle but no top. This replacement cap fits the water bottle well. I trimmed the straw a little to fit in my bottle. The mouthpiece is easier to take off and clean than the original.

Perfect fit for my Camelbak bottles, even fits the maglid bottles if you want a different type of lid.

This replacement cap is perfect to rejuvenate and extend the life of my CamelBak Eddy water bottle. The only problem I have with this design is the locking means which hold the bite valve securely down (tucked into the cap itself) and protected from contamination of any touch. The friction detent notches eventually wear-down which leads to the bite valve sticking-up and in the way of rubbing or contacting anything OTHER than my mouth. All-in-all, I'll get about a year's worth of use (Mon-Fri year 'round) from one of these replacement caps, but they are certainly a cost-effective way to maximize the money I spent on the Eddy in the first place. My 24oz Eddy is perfect for my daily needs, and these replacement caps are perfect OEM gear for my Eddy.
