Creepy looking, but apparently delicious
When we purchased a beardie for Christmas, we wanted a backup food in case we ran out of crickets or in case our crickets died before they were all eaten. I must say that my daughter and I were so creeped out when we first opened the can. I seriously thought these suckers were moving until I realized that I was shaking the can in utter fear. These things are huge! I cut them into about 5 pieces and tossed them into the tank. At first I would flick them around the tank to catch his eye, but he soon went right after them. His favorite parts were the ones with the legs still attached, though he doesn't like the heads. Overall this is a good product and it keeps for weeks in the refrigerator. Keep in mind that they are about the size of a katydid.

A Nutritious & delicious treat for medium-large Bearded Dragons.
My Bearded Dragon is picky, and finicky with FOOD, especially dead food. HE LOVES THESE DRAGONFLY LARVAE!! Any reviewers that say canned insects have no nutrition are dummies & wrong, absolute nonsense. My Bearded Dragon devours canned dragon fly larvae and Cilantro, (seperately) both his favorites. He basks in real sunlight not light bulbs, real sunlight. Hates just about all veggies and leafy greens. Healthy as can be, i also give him live crickets, and super worms. You may want to offer this with live food to get your pet to try it at first. My Bearded Dragon is full grown about 15-20 inches with tail.

Easy to feed
i have 5 beardies, with 5 different tastes. 3 of them like it, and the other 2 don't. Guess it's kind of a hit and miss on this one. Re-ordering the item. Very large larve, I just cut into pieces if needed,

Great Idea
This is a great concept except my Beard wouldn't even eat them. He ate everything else I put in there and left these for days even when I didn't put other food in.

These things are HUGE.
I suppose that would be ok if your pet is large enough to eat them. I read that they were about an inch or so in size but they are double that & too large for my beardie to eat. I made my son cut them in half & then our beardie ate them. I didn't handle them but didn't notice a smell when they were in the bowl. They are UGLY tho.

Beardies are like kids...
I'm sure some Beardies like them but like kids, you never know til you try. My girl turned her nose up at them. If you get them, get one can then try your beardie. If they like them, great, but if not you are stuck with expensive garbage. I tossed my can out to the chickens. Not sure if they ate them or the other birds did but there we are

A good alternative for beardies
Spike, our 5 month old, 16 inch long bearded dragon likes these pretty well. He eats them better than crickets, and as well as dubia roaches or superworms. There is a pretty good mix of sizes, so most beardies who are more than 12-13 inches should be able to handle them without any problem. If your beardie is smaller, you can still get these, but you might have to cut them into pieces.Be warned, though. There is some odor to these, as you would expect from cooked insects.
