A little expensive but totally worth it. Even the husband agrees. Was great as a newborn when everyone wanted to hold him, especially siblings and grandparents. Supported his head and wiggly body to give them more confidence and me reassurance. Now at almost 10 weeks I use it for tummy time wherever I am in the house except he always falls asleep as pictured. The slight cushion is perfect for tummy time on the kitchen tile and hardwood floors without having to worry about him smacking his head on the hard surface through a blanket or maintaining position on a boppy. I like it better than using a blanket on the carpet as the cover is pulled tight and doesnt bunch up around his face as he alternates between pushing up and resting. His sisters also recognize it as his work space which helps keep them from messing with him if I am cooking. Second cover is a must as I can't find 2 hours in the day to wash and dry it that I wouldn't want to be using it. Has held up well in regular wash/dry cycles with no shrinkage or breakdown of fibers/seams. Cover is not waterproof so any spitup will go through to the mat.

I bought this for my baby at 7 weeks old, and I just wish I’d had it sooner. Ended up buying a second one to send to daycare so she naps better. You NEED this for your newborn. We were struggling with sleep, and it didn’t help that she woke up the second you set her in the crib. This helped so much with that transition, and she wakes less at night now too. 100% recommend.

Exactly as described. I love this little mat. My little one used it daily for months before transitioning to a larger play area. The pillow has held up well and so far does not hold smells.

Highly recommend this for a newborn! Makes it so much easier to handle him and to transfer him from place to place without waking.

Every newborn should have one of these! Absolute lifesaver when it comes to handing and comforting a baby. My 3 week old daughter loves being held in her topponchino and it makes it so much easier for us to handle her and let her sleep in different parts of the house without waking her.One thing to note is that the care instructions state that the insert should not be washed, but I’ve machine washed and dried it a number of times already and it holds up just fine. It’s not practical to just spot clean it - newborns are messy!I’ve ordered a second one too. One will probably not be enough especially if you use it through out the day and not just at night.I cannot recommend this product enough… it’s pricy but totally worth it!
