Good all round jacket
Having had a regatta jacket previously which was about as waterproof as a sieve I decided I wanted a Gore-Tex jacket. This was amongst the cheapest available and was also from a reputable brand. I’ve had this for 2 months and Dec 2023 has been very wet. This has not let any water in and keeps the wind out too. The pockets are large and the internal pocket well located. The hood is great, adjustable and has a good enough peak to stop rain dripping into your face. Everything seems well made. It also looks stylish enough to wear around town if needed. The front storm flap is practical but does annoy me a little with the Velcro - however its benefits outweigh this. I am 5’ 6”, 32” waist and a bit of a belly. A medium is large enough to put a down jacket on underneath and looks decent without any significant layering too.

Waterproof but...
I like this jacket, it's my go to this year. It also doubles with the fleece I got from Berghaus but not perfectly... The zip part that zips them together works brilliant but the buttons on the sleeves not so well, the fleece always comes out and doesn't stay inside, it works better if you don't use the buttons and without zipping them together. In other words, you don't have to pair it with the Berghaus fleece, it didn't really work on me. The other thing I didn't like with this jacket is the velcro part that covers the main zip, it collected all the fluff from whatever I was wearing under the jacket as all the velcros do. The hood works better if you wear a hat cause it doesn't hold its shape and covers your forehead and eyebrows if you don't wear a hat. Apart from that it's a cool jacket, light (not the lightest but not heavy either), waterproof and quite windproof too.

Nice fit and water proof
Its a very nice fitting jacket. The zip is very good quality and the length of the jacket reaches the hips which is really protective of the rain. Its light weight and water proof. I think it will last before it needs the coating redone to protect the surface. Its very functional during the raining days and when commuting.

Feels a quality item. Looks good and works really well.
The jacket is nice and light for what it is, It looks good and the material seems genuine gore-tex as expected, I used this for long walks and is comfortable to wear. When the weather is bad this coat performs really well in the rain and water beads off fast, just to note it has a second zip inside for attaching a fleece and is a good quality zip too, this is useful for attaching my own fleece and together it can keep you dry without having to need several layers of clothes/jumpers ect. The jacket is good enough to use on it's own as using a fleece together it can get really warm and cause you to sweat,so only use a fleece with this if it's really really cold. The breathability is good too and is wind proof (this material works well and stops all wind getting through) the zip flap on the front has velcro instead of press studs and I like how easy it is to seal up the front of the flap. The hood is big enough to have a beanie hat on too, the front of the hood has little toggle type things for adjusting the fit, but I did not need to change the fit. Overall a superb waterproof jacket that's easy to put on and works really well in the heavy rain, breathability is good and windproof. You will need trousers to keep the legs dry as rain beads off and will soak the lower legs. Super easy recommendation and the best waterproof jacket I've ever had and love it!!!

Lightweight warm windproof
I was originally going to get the paclite 2, as I was after a gore-tex lightweight and wind / waterproof jacket, but some of the reviews on the paclite said it had let water in after some time, so after some research I chose this one. I was a bit worried from the photos that this jacket would be too bulky as I wanted something light enough for bike riding, but was surprised how light it is. I only received it today but tried it outside a couple of times in freezing weather with just a shirt on underneath and it's very warm and completely blocks the wind. I haven't tried it in the rain yet but I'm actually looking forward to it raining now to see how well it performs, which I'm sure will be great. The side pockets are a decent size and comfortable to put your hands in, and it has a single pocket inside again of decent size for most stuff you'd use it for (could fit a phone and power bank + cable in etc). Would recommend it to anyone looking for a light warm weatherproof jacket.

100% Irish rain proof
I bought this for working outdoors in Ireland. Kept me bone dry on two twelve hour shifts of torrential rain. Would recommend to anyone based on that alone. It's light and comfortable. Quality stuff.

The hills are alive with the sound of...Berghaus
I am sure this deserves 5*, but I sent mine back because it was too big. So, I didn't field test it, hence on 4*. In all other respects; design, quality, build and value it is exactly what you expect from the best outdoor equipment manufacturer in the world. I will be re-ordering once I get my refund.
