GingkoDesign Alarm Clock, Wood, White Maple, Full

I bought this solely because I had one of the previous coloured models which I loved. Tap on the top and time appears or alarm goes off, simplicity inself. This new model still has that. However the time appears at every noise as well, even at normal speech. It also doesn't work on normal batteries anymore, so you have to keep it plugged in all of the time, unless you have a great memeory or know how long its internal battery lasts for, there is no indicator. I always found the alarm too loud so kept it below mattress level on a shelf, however due to keeping it plugged in constantly, this also now means drilling a hole in the shelf to let the lead connect.Yes its very pretty, if you keep quiet and the bright green (I think its ugly - old model far better) time goes off for a while. Lovely wooden box, but the old model was vastly better, due to its simplicity and having batteries.

Just brilliant. It obeys the laws of thermodynamics so you do have to plug it in once in a while which does reduce the beauty. I am an obsessive tree hugger and it stands up well on the Australian myrtle bedside table I made with the She oak knickknack box next to it. Get the walnut with green light. Suck on that for a review mr fake reviewer.

Bought as a gift for my husband who loves this. It is a really nice version of one of these cube/ flip clocks. The shell looks and feels like wood, unlike the plasticky laminate effect of other versions. It has a great display that lights on touch or certain sounds, and prevents me having to look at glowing numbers half the night!

I really like this alarm clock.. it’s a really nice design and is simple to use. It’s easy to know if you have set an alarm or not as the clock logo is on top of the block if it’s set and on the bottom If not. The numbers aren’t too bright and disappear in the absence of sound, preserving the battery.. I couldn’t find a nice looking alarm clock anywhere else either

Clever...very clever! A block of wood with no wires or attachments that can produce a time display on command? Nothing short of bloomin' amazing!!

I had two of these clocks. The first one arrived with a very poor finish. Chipped and poor made. The second one, while not visually perfect was acceptable, but soon stopped charging. The design and concept are great, but let down by poor production quality.

Everything to like. Nothing to dislike.
